Gina's POV
I fell back instantly, my hand flying to my face in shock. I had no idea why Soraya struck me, and I hoped she hadn’t figured out what I did.
Or wait… could it be that Kaida didn’t escape?
Suddenly I heard Soraya’s voice through my thoughts. “What the hell is wrong with you?”
Soraya's eyes bore into me with so much rage. Could it be that she already knew what I did?
“You ingrate! You f*****g ingrate!” she seethed, rushing at me again.
Just as she was about to hit me again, we heard the heavy sound of Alpha Caden’s door as he stepped out, his heavy feet stamping on the floor.
Soraya instantly halted, her rage and anger was temporarily suspended at that moment.
Meanwhile, I had already shielded myself with my arm, eyes closed, until we heard Alpha Caden approaching.
