“Have you seen what you’ve caused, you lowlife!”
Criseda yelled, looking down at me as I knelt before her.
To think I didn’t even do anything wrong. I did absolutely nothing! On the contrary, I tried my best to warn her about the concoctions she was making, but she paid no attention to me.
Now, I was the one eating up all the insults.
“What do you have to say?!” Alpha Caden roared. “You have completely destroyed breakfast!”
Bowing my head in front of Criseda, I closed my eyes and said, “I’m sorry, Luna, I… I’ll…”
I wasn’t even done with my words when Criseda shot up from her chair, picked up the cup of tea she’d prepared for Alpha Kael from the table, and emptied the whole contents on my face.
