I couldn't sleep all night. My mind was filled with countless thoughts, but they all circled back to one person: Kaida.
Something remarkable happened last night while she was out in the rain, and she didn't even notice.
Her fury had birthed a red lightning bolt, capable of destroying anything it touched.
I had struck gold, real gold.
She was the perfect tool for my revenge. All I needed was to gain her trust and make her feel comfortable around me.
She had no idea what she was capable of, which was a tremendous advantage for me.
