11. The Lost Found

It was late into the night when his father’s scent finally became stronger, indicating that they were getting closer.  He wanted to push them into a full run, but he also didn’t want to lead the pack’s best tracker and warriors into an ambush.  Whoever had abducted his father would suffer for their crimes! Ripley mindlinked two of the warriors to scout ahead to make sure they were not headed into an armed ambush, but they soon mindlinked that the way ahead was clear.  Whoever was with his father was alone and that meant that he could kill them without worry.  But he would do it himself.  He wanted to make them suffer, since the closer they came to his father the stronger the scent of blood became and he was livid.
