As the reception got underway, Arianna put on a brave face, smiling and laughing like she was the happiest woman in the world.
But deep down, she was dying. She was dying inside, dying of sadness, dying of fear.
And she knew that she would never be the same again.
Arianna stood in front of the mirror, staring at her reflection. She was dressed in a stunning white bikini, her hair styled perfectly, and her makeup flawless. But despite her beautiful appearance, Arianna felt like she was living a lie.
She thought back to the wedding ceremony, to the moment when she had promised to love and cherish Dickson Logan for the rest of her life. It all seemed so surreal now, like a bad dream that she couldn't wake up from.
As she turned to leave the room, Arianna caught a glimpse of Dickson Logan standing in the doorway, a smug smile spreading across his face. He looked like he owned her, like she was his property.
"Ready for our honeymoon, my dear?" he asked, his voice dripping with condescension.
Arianna felt a surge of anger at his tone, but she pushed it down, reminding herself that she had to play the part. She had to pretend to be the happy bride, at least for now.
"Yes, I'm ready," Arianna said, forcing a smile onto her face.
Dickson Logan nodded, his eyes gleaming with satisfaction. "Good. Our private jet is waiting for us. We'll be flying to a beautiful island resort, where we'll spend the next two weeks in luxury."
Arianna felt a pang of sadness at the thought of being trapped with Dickson Logan for two whole weeks. She knew that she would have to play the part of the dutiful wife, at least in public.
As they boarded the private jet, Arianna couldn't help but feel a sense of unease. She was trapped, trapped in a marriage that she didn't want, trapped with a man who didn't love her.
The flight was a blur, with Arianna staring out the window, lost in thought. She couldn't believe that her life had turned out this way, that she was now married to a man who was only using her for his own gain.
As the jet landed on the island, Arianna felt a sense of relief wash over her. At least she would be able to get away from Dickson Logan for a little while, at least she would be able to clear her head.
But as they arrived at the resort, Arianna realized that she was wrong. Dickson Logan was everywhere, watching her every move, controlling her every step.
The days blended together in a haze of boredom and frustration. Arianna felt like she was living in a prison, trapped in a gilded cage with no way out.
And then, one night, everything changed.
Arianna was walking along the beach, trying to clear her head, when she stumbled upon a figure standing in the shadows. It was Lucas, her childhood friend, the one person who had ever truly understood her.
"Arianna," Lucas said, his voice low and urgent. "I've been looking everywhere for you."
Arianna felt a surge of hope at the sight of Lucas. Maybe, just maybe, he could help her escape from this nightmare.
"What are you doing here?" Arianna asked, trying to keep her voice down.
Lucas hesitated, his eyes scanning the surrounding area. "I've been investigating Dickson Logan's business dealings," he said. "I think I've uncovered something big."
Arianna's heart skipped a beat at the mention of Dickson Logan's name. What had Lucas found out?
"What is it?" Arianna asked, her voice barely above a whisper.
Lucas leaned in close, his voice dropping to a whisper. "I think Dickson Logan is involved in some shady dealings," he said. "I think he's using his wealth and influence to cover up his crimes."
Arianna felt a chill run down her spine at Lucas's words. She had always known that Dickson Logan was ruthless, but she had never suspected that he was involved in anything illegal.
"What does this mean for me?" Arianna asked, her voice shaking.
Lucas's expression was grim. "It means that you're in danger, Arianna," he said. "It means that you need to get out of here, now."
Arianna felt a surge of fear at Lucas's words. She knew that she had to escape, but she didn't know how.
As she stood there, frozen in fear, Lucas took her hand, his eyes locked on hers.
"I'll help you, Arianna," he said. "I'll help you escape."
And with that, Arianna knew that she had a chance. She had a chance to break free from the prison that Dickson Logan had built around her.
But as they turned to make their escape, Arianna saw something that made her blood run cold. Dickson Logan was standing behind them, a smug smile spreading across his face.
"You're not going anywhere, my dear," Dickson Logan said, his voice dripping with malice.
Arianna felt a surge of fear at the sight of Dickson Logan. She knew that she was trapped, trapped in a marriage that she didn't want, trapped with a man who didn't love her.
Lucas stepped forward, his eyes locked on Dickson Logan. "Let her go, Dickson," he said, his voice firm.
Dickson Logan laughed, a cold, mirthless sound. "You think you can save her, Lucas?" he asked, his voice dripping with contempt. "You think you can protect her from me?"
Arianna felt a chill run down her spine at Dickson Logan's words. She knew that she was in grave danger, danger that she couldn't escape.
As the standoff continued, Arianna realized that she had to think fast. She had to come up with a plan to escape, to get away from Dickson Logan and his evil clutches.
But as she looked around, Arianna realized that she was trapped. The resort was surrounded by water, and the only way to escape was by boat or plane.
Arianna's heart sank at the thought of being trapped. She knew that she had to think of something, and fast.
