After huffy left with her minions there was another girl standing in front of my desk. She was dressed in black skinny jeans, tight light pink top, about 5"5', dark hair with purple and pink streaks, fair skin, slim build, hazel eyes and the biggest smile on her face staring at me. To be honest her smile was starting to creep me out a little. "I'm Poppy, you are going to be my new best friend. Can I sit next to you?" "Um.. Sure. I'm Alexi but everyone calls me Lex."
While she is settling herself in I notice most of the other students have arrived and guess what... Yay me most of the circus have the same class.. When the bell rings I'm guessing by now all the other students have arrived as most of the desks are taken. The teacher walks in and writes his name on the board. "Morning Class I'm Mr Colt and I will be your English teacher this year. This semester we will be doing a project that counts for fifty percent of this semesters grade. It will be done in pairs.The project needs to be done after school in tour own time. For the project you will be writing a story complete with illustrations. You will have to use the minimum of three thousand words and ten illustrations. The subject of your story will be picked by you out of this hat I have. I have already decided who will be paired up. I looked at everyone's marks for last year and have paired the stronger students with those who are struggling to make it fair." Fck my life I'm going to get stuck with a dumb*ss. I kinda zoned out, only came back to reality when Poppy nudged me in the ribs with her elbow. "Lex I really dont know what you did in tour previous life to get that as*hole as a partner" "Who did I get I zoned out" "Blake" Double fck my life I just had to get the guy screechy just "dibbed" "Who you get Poppy?" "Alex argh" Poppy doesn't seem to be thrilled either. "Okay class come up and get your topic when I call your names" I zoned out again thinking how to get out of this. Maybe I could just convince him to let me do all the work, and I'll put his name on it. That sounds fair, he has been paired with me so I'm guessing he is... um let's say doesn't apply himself. Again, I get a nudge from Poppy. "Lex go get your topic" "Thanks Poppy" I walk to the front and I can feel the daggers being throw my way by queen clown herself. King Clown is now standing next to me, I tell him to pick he shrugs and picks the topic WISHES out the hat. Under my breathe I say "I wish this a*shat would disappear" "What was that Alexi?" "Nothing Mr Colt" I sit back down "Poppy what is your topic?" "Love. I mean how am I supposed to write about that with him. He is such a d**k" I laugh at her a little she really seems very upset to have anything to do with Alex.
The bell rings and Poppy and I head to Math next. Lucky Poppy and I have all the same subjects, she has even taken the additional subjects I have, so no free periods for us. At the end of maths I have come to a conclusion about Poppy. She is smart, pays attention and doesn't talk during class. I'm honestly grateful as I dont like to be disturbed while learning.
Maths goes by quickly the bell rings for everyone for free period but for Poppy and I we are off to social studies. Social studies goes by fast and I'm ecstatic because I'm starving.
Off to the cafeteria we go.. Yummy!
