he six-man team of Marine Critical Skills Operators had been on the southernmost Andros Island for nearly two weeks. Their original mission in this remote part of the Bahamas was learning to survive and operate effectively in the bug-infested mangrove estuaries and tidal swamps. Their parent command, the newly and officially titled Marine Raider Regiment, was big on training in the most adverse conditions available. Andros Island qualified as adverse and then some anywhere south of the only real settlement of Andros Town.
