CHAPTER 73

"Crisha! My goodness...!" I sneered at her, I mentally roll my eyes 'cause this girl in front of me busied her damn eyes on those guys here that she finds cute. She let out small giggles when she glances at me. "What?" Crisha raised her brows at me as her hand plays the tip of her hair. I shook my head, showing helplessness. "-----Why not invite Luka to join us instead?" She added as she grinned at me widely. I can't help but throw her the most boring stare I could... Here she goes again. " Oh, please shut it up, I went here to relax, Cha." I snapped at her. But then, she lifted her eyebrow at me before she opened her out to say something. " Excuse me? You won't be here if I didn't convince you to, you know?" She nonchalantly fired back. "Uh-huh?" I granted it casually. "Whatever," I snorted. Afterward, I saw how Crisha wave her hands at my bodyguard who was standing outside. Some of the customers were glancing at us but of course, it's the least of our concerns. " Crisha!" I was about to decline that I don't like the Idea after all but I just can't do anything. Crisha even stood up just to wave at Luka who's now frowning in our direction. In the end, Luka joined us l, as Crisha wanted she even ordered him his coffee. I sighed and shrugged. I was busy with my coffee when Crisha cleared her throat. I already knew what was next, for sure she'll interrogate him until she'll get satisfied with her questions. " So, Luka... Uhmm, how have you been?" Crisha asked casually. I just shrugged looking in his direction. Luka licks his lower lip first and sipped on his coffee before he answered our very very simple questions. " I'm good," he answered in casually yet formally still. Crisha's eyes darted into me, then she wiggled her brows before she turned to look at Luka once again... " Hmm, what was your previous job before you chose this one?" Crisha asked as she rested her elbow on the table while waiting for my bodyguard to answer it. On the other hand, I was just here enjoying my coffee since in really not in the mood to ask questions. "I'm an ex-military," he simply answered. Crisha's eyes widen as she looked at him wide gaze and her expression also reflects mine. I didn't know much about him and I think I already heard that from my parents about that military thing but I didn't mind the details. So it's so shocking to just hear unexpectedly that he was once in that field. So maybe this is one of the reasons for his stance and serious facade but of course, my Viel was way good from that's why. I liked him. I slightly pursed my lips as I glance at them. Last time I said, I could easily escape from him but, knowing that he's an ex-military then, I think it'll give me a hard time, big time. We spend hours in the coffeehouse and during the whole time I was just mentally rolling my eyes because of the business of Crisha. She was like... Do you have a girlfriend Luka and blah blah so much more that it hurts in the ear... "I'm going..." I drowsily say as a yawned. Crisha's crumpled face turned to me while Luka on the other hand was just stiff and serious as he sipped on his coffee. "Hey! We're not done yet... How about your coffee?" She hissed as her eyes stayed on the cup of coffee that was still half on the cup. " I'm sleepy..." I languidly answered and then I looked around... Many guests went out and tons of news entered the coffee house. "What?! what reason..." She snorted as she looked at my bodyguard who was unmoving next to me. Well, that's typical of a bodyguard anyway, stiff and serious as I said. "Are we going, young miss?" Luka shifted his weight on me as his heavy gaze darted on me. I lazily nodded which made Crisha pout her pouty lips... Tss, "KC!... You're no fun!" She complains like a kid. I just rolled my eyes at her before I stood up. " Let's go, Crisha, aren't you bored here?" I asked her... Crisha was sporting a sexy dress and way far compared to what I'm wearing, what I'm wearing is kinda boyish but very comfy which I only cared about. "Bored? Of course not!" She answered livelily as her eyes trailed to my bodyguard who was now standing and both hands were in his pocket. I shook my head, this best friend of mine is just so helpless. "Come on, Cha. I'm feeling sleepy, I'll go ahead." I stated. Well, I'm really bored though, plus I didn't get a message from Viel so my jolly side isn't activated. " Alright, you won." Crisha sneered at me then when she looked at Luka a sweet smile appeared on her lips... Yeah, she's that crazy. After crushing on Simon and Shawn and now she has a new crush flavor of the month. We went out of the coffeehouse I went out first together with Crisha while my bodyguard was tailing us. I walked Crisha to her car and after short chitchat, she drove her car away while Luka opened the car's door for me and waited for me to slide in before the positioned himself on the driver's seat. "Home," I languidly answered when I caught Luka looking at me questioningly through the rare view mirror as if he was asking where to go next. Afterward, he nodded and started the engine. I close my eyes, I just want to sleep, I'm bored and that's really the effect when you're bored you tend to sleep or do something you love but in my case today, I can't do something I love 'cause he's not replying... Viel's probably busy. He's the 'something I love."
