CHAPTER 16

I woke up early in the morning than usual.

" Good morning, young lady," Someone greeted me while holding a feather duster, she's one of our maids but I forgot her name, I just nodded at her and proceed my way to the kitchen. I don't remember most of their names aside from Melinda, it's because she's always the one who's bringing my meal to my room every time I called someone to bring me food.

I was halfway to the kitchen when Melinda showed up.

" Good morning, young lady," She said and I can see in her that she was wondering why I'm already up early in the morning.

"Sir Hebron is having his breakfast--

''Okay," I simply responded and walk past her.

When I entered our dining room, I saw my dad holding a newspaper and he was seriously reading it that he didn't notice my presence.

we seldom have our breakfast together since he's leaving early to go to our company, except for our mansion his office is his second home. He's on his usual formal suit.

I advance a step and interrupt his reading.

" Good morning Dad," I greeted in a low voice.

I saw Melinda entering our dining room too, I know she will go straight to the kitchen to make me a coffee, yes a coffee because I love coffee more than milk.

"Good morning," He simply greeted back and get back from reading the newspaper from reading, but his eyes immediately flew back at me as he narrowed his eyes while he was looking at me with a serious gaze.

" You're up early, Cassidy. What are you up to,?" He asked in a plain voice like he knows that I'm up to something that's why I'm joining him.

I'm not here for something though, I'm just a bit excited 'cause Viel gonna fetch me here, and I know that my Dad will not have a second thought to allow m to go with him. He's the son of his dear friend anyway and they're pretty close too.

''Nope, I just want to be early today, is that a bad thing,?" I asked in an innocent voice while I started to eat my breakfast, Melinda placed the coffee on the table for me, before she excused herself and went out of the dining room.

I don't know what time will Viel fetch me and I don't even know what he will gonna ask me to do to pay for the damage that I caused last night.

Well, I'm pretty much sure that I can do the laundry, and wash dishes if he'll ask me to, even though I haven't tried it yet. Why would I do such chores anyway? I'm a Tyson. Just don't ask me to cook for him because I don't know how terrible the outcome may be.

Dad narrowed his eyes on me and he spoke.

'' That angelic innocent face of yours fooled so many people and most of them are my men," He stated with the stillness in his voice. I pouted and secretly rolled my eyes. They have this not-to-trust Cassidy inside their heads. He and mom, and speaking of mom, she'll be home today.

I know I'm not the kind of daughter that every parents wish to have and I'm not an obedient girl, I'm actually the very opposite of that and I couldn't even count how many headaches I gave to them since my childhood until now.

" Hmm, actually, I'm going somewhere with someone-'

"No." My dad said with finality in his voice.

" You stay here and instead you stroll somewhere for nothing, why not go to my library and read some important books there,? it's something worth spending time with than anything else," he said in a business-like tone and sip on his coffee afterward.

Here we go again.

" And haven't I told you not to go anywhere with someone? even if they're your friends," He continued. "though I hired men to look out for you, I still don't trust the person you are with." He stated.

Friends? I only have Crisha as my trusted best friend, I don't call everyone my friends, they are more likely companions who belong to elite families too like me.

I'm not sure if Viel won't tell my dad about what happened, as I can see he's way far from a noisy man so I hope he won't. Because if my parents will find out about this, especially my dad, I know he'll be fuming mad.

" No dad, I will be with--"

I was cut by Melinda when she suddenly enter the dining room and bowed at us. Why the f**k is she blushing?

" Ahmm.." she started but we don have all day here to wait for what she had to say, so, I spat at her.

"What?! Melinda?" I asked her, impatiently.

''Cassidy." I heard my father's warning voice.

Argh! he always uses that tone to me whenever I become grumpy in front of him.

I sighed in defeat before I continued eating, whatever.

" What is it, Melinda?" My father asked in his usual tone.

"Sir, Engr. Viel is here," I became alerted when I heard what she just said, I turned to look at her to confirm and I just so her flushed face, she was standing a few steps away from where we were sitting and she keeps on glancing back as if she wants to jump back on where Viel's waiting.

Tss.

Why does that frosty man never fail to get every girl's attention!? geez, and this flirt Melinda is one of them.

Being a young Aeronautical Engineer and the only inheritor of their business makes him more likely unreachable. Though I don't know much aside from that he's too private, he's too serious and uptight. Any word related to that will perfectly suit him well.

" Viel? he's here?" Dad asked confused. He suddenly stood up from his seat and made his way out of our dining just to see if Viel was really there waiting in our living room.

I bit my lower lip in nervousness. What if he'll tell dad what I just did?

I was left alone here in the dining room and of course, Just after my dad goes and sees Viel, Melinda hurriedly follows.

I wasn't informed that he will fetch me this early. I checked what I was wearing. I'm just wearing simple cotton shorts that I always like to wear 'cause it's comfortable and a plain oversized white shirt.

I sigh.

I slowly walked toward our dining room, and after a few moments I saw his broad masculine back against me and he was talking with my dad.

I rolled my eyes at some of our maids including Melinda when I saw them acting like wiping the dustless figurines and other things that were located just enough for them to have a glimpse of this frosty man sitting and doesn't care about his surroundings, well? what's new by the way?..

"Oh, Cassidy didn't tell me about that," I heard dad. I was walking toward them and my dad's gaze went on me when he noticed that I was now near them.

I know Viel already feel my presence from his back but he didn't even turn to look at me, he just waited until I made myself stand in front of him.. tss, that's why frosty suits him perfectly.

When I finally stand beside dad, that when his threwme his serious gaze. My breath hitch when I stared back at him, his hairs and his beautiful magneticing eyes always leave me stunned. He's just wearing a simple black v-neck stirt and black jeans, he's all black today and he looks so good on it.

I bit my lower lip again when I just found myself giving him an endless prain inside my head.

" Cassy, you didn't tell me that it's Viel," My dad turned to me while frowning.

" I was about about to say Dad, but you say no, right away," I defended.

'' How did you two became close?" My dad added that so awkward question. " though, that's good." he added while nodding.

close huh? if you just know dad..that's far from being close, well for me. I really want to be close with him since I want to know him more but I doubt if he wants the same, well of course not. He doesn't care.

I wonder what they talked about earlier. I looked at my father to invent a reason but I Viel answered my father first.

" Just recently, Sir." he said in a formal tone and glance at me.

I rolled my eyes at him, yeah. that's a lie.
