“So what do you want me to do?” Nick asked Kira. He rubbed at his stubbled cheek with a look of exhaustion. “I can try to get security footage, or check traffic cams if you want, but it’ll take time. I hate to say it, but your sister’s not a police priority right now.”
Kira buried her aching head in her hands for a moment, nearly knocking her ball cap loose. She was in no shape to deal with any of this.
But neither was Nick, and he was still offering to help.
She squared her shoulders and lifted her head. She knew what she had to do.
