The two stood opposite eachother, looking into their eyes as though they searched for what to say. Raymond was satisfied with the s*x, but he feared and felt something more. And that was the fact that he sensed the difference between normal s*x and a string attached. Maybe it was because he f****d her way too soon. But now that it was over, one thing was for sure. He had to continue the deal with her and marry her, her p***y was an a-lister. As he stared at her, he resisted the urge to smile. He thought of Rachel, and how he was going to rub his new wife in her face.
Zoey on the other hand was lost in Raymond's eyes. While she felt the after s*x shame, she was glad that they had f****d. Maybe then the tension between them would reduce and they would become close as friends. She was more than satisfied with the s*x and thought that Raymond was smooth with his tongue. “ I plan to get Rachel back after 6 months, but I must teach her a lesson first. I reckon that you could do the job. “

Raymond walked into the bathroom, “ Wait until i am done. “ he instructed.
Naked and disappointed, zoey fell to the bed and was pondering. His rude shunning only reminded her of the reality of their relationship. she couldn't afford to fall in love with him, not yet, she thought.
Raymond came out of the bathroom and laid on the bed. Soon, he drifted to sleep. Zoey had the liberty of cleaning the area where their sperm touched, changed the mattress on the floor before sleeping. The next morning, he was gone before she woke up. She saw an envelope containing 10,000 dollars with a note attached saying to get breakfast for herself.

Raymond was inside the backseat of a spare car. He had called his driver to come pick him up. Raymond had to abandon his other car at Zoey's house, his plan was to hire a car engineer who will fix it there. He was thinking of ways to get the marriage with zoey done, of course he wanted it to be elaborate, in order to spite Rachel and to shock his entire family. His phone rang, Raphael his brother called him.
“ There is a gathering at the barn, father wants you to be there. “ Raphael began.
“ Any idea what the meeting is all about? “
“ Probably to commemorate you joining back, what changed your mind? “
“ I received a scare, I can't have that happening again. “
“ Good thing you are back, the family will be complete. “
“ Anything more you have to say? “
“ Get prepared, Arthur and his sons are going to be present. Father said not to tell you yet but they are having an alliance. “
“ He's forgiving him? And should I act surprised? “
“ yes and yes. “

As Raymond journeyed to the little gathering his father had prepared, he had a lot on his mind. Getting back into the illegal business wasn't one he planned. Instead, he planned to retire and spend the rest of his life being a family and work man, but life had other plans for him. And as such, he must adjust. He now planned to discuss the issue with diablo with his father. Now that his father has forgiven Arthur, he was sure that there was more business to attend to. Arthur was his father's brother and uncle, he had three sons, Vincent, Charles and Vance. Vincent and Vance were all involved in illegal business, but as for vance who was the last son, Raymond had not seen him for years. He heard that vance ran away from home. His father has another sister, Soraya, she was also in the drug game. His father has a lasting quarrel with soraya that had made them not speak for years. The last time he heard, she was a Cuban link, dealing with the Cuban mafia. Raymond was on good terms with just soraya. The woman had taken care of him when he was a baby. Raymond had previous beef with Vincent in the past, that was because he refused him having shares in the company. Vincent, angry and disappointed had grown a grudge against his cousin. He also invited his family in on the quarrel.
As soon as he entered the compound, Vincent, the eldest son of Arthur was seen approaching him with speed. Raymond assumed it to be that Vincent wanted to greet him, but he was wrong. When Vincent reached him, a hard punch was released from Vincent. The punch reached Raymond on the face which caused him to bleed. Raymond retaliated with another punch and the two ensued into a dangerous fight. Raymond successfully picked Vincent and threw him hard on the ground. when he fell, Raymond went on top of him and proceeded to hitting him on the chest region. Soon, Raphael, Donald, Arthur and the other family members appeared on the scene and separated the fight.
“ You piece of s**t! “ Vincent yelled, still fisting his hand for another punch.
“ Woah, that is enough! “ Raphael got in the mix, protecting his brother by standing in front of him.
“ What happened here? “ Donald asked.
“ I walked in and he just attacked me, no questions asked. “
“ Vincent is that true? “ Arthur asked.
“ Don't think I haven't seen the stunt that you pulled, you miserable bastard! “ Vincent replied, still visibly angry.
“ dont you dare insult me in front of my family. What are you even talking about? “
Vincent brought out his phone and showed Raymond a page in Saturn's news publication. And the news read, ‘ Vance Voss, politician Arthur Voss's last son, may have been involved in a pyramid scheme scam. ‘
“ What in the world, “ Arthur said, picking the phone from Vincent, “ Where is he? “
“ How did you find this? “ Charles, Arthur's second son asked.
“ I was in the car when I saw this news pop in my phone. “
All eyes where on Raymond now. Raymond himself was shocked to the core by the news.
“ Raymond, what is the meaning of this? “ Donald asked.
“ You know that we have been looking for vance for long, and you have the audacity to publish this news without telling anyone? “ Vincent let out.
“ Where is my son?! “ Arthur rang.
“ Arthur calm down, let him speak. “ Donald replied, “ Speak up son. “
“ Look, that is a verified page from Saturn so it is our publication. But I swear that didn't pass me. Or else I wouldn't have passed it without consulting you all. I have no idea that news even existed. “ Raymond doubted that anyone would believe him, but he had to tell his side of the story.
“ So you mean to tell all of us that you don't know anything about this, but you're the boss? “
“ I am telling you the truth. But I promise you, I will get to the bottom of this. “
“ Get to it as soon as possible, I need to find my son. “ Arthur said.
“ Let us all enter inside and discuss the actual reason for our meeting today. “ Donald ushered everyone in.
Raymond ignored the mean eye given to him by Vincent and Charles as he entered the building.
When everyone sat, Donald went in front of everyone and began to speak.
“ First and foremost i would like to welcome my son Raymond. He had strayed from the family business for a while, but had made the right decision by joining. “
“ Welcome. “ Everyone chorused.
“ Son, my lands are spreading. And you know that with more territory we get to move things easily. “
“ What do you need? “ Raymond asked.
“ From you? I need Saturn. Not as what you think, but as a means to run my campaign. “
Raymond arched a brow, “ What? “ he glanced at Raphael and gave him the you didn't tell me face.
“ Hey, I didn't know about this too. “ Raphael said.
“ What campaign? “ Raymond had to ask.
“ My governorship campaign. I need Saturn to support me. Having a huge media outlet on my side would do me some good. “
“ You want to be a governor? That is a bad idea. If your lands are spreading, you need to lay low. Not have the entire state looking into your business. “ Raymond said.
“ That is where you come in. I wouldn't welcome any tabloids to follow me. That would be my strict order. When I win, any publicity following me must be Saturn, so they release news that I want them to. “
“ I guess what father is saying is that he needs to control the public image of him. “ Raphael joined.
Raymond was utterly surprised to hear of his father's wishes to be a governor. He was glad that he didn't have to move drugs, using Saturn as a passage vehicle.
“ I can do that. But why are you considering being a governor? “
“ That is myself and Arthur's plan, with the state on our control, we could accomplish a lot. I need that seat of power to move things at will. “
“ Regardless, it is dangerous. People will be watching you. “ Raymond warned.
“ That is why I have my sons to help me, now isn't it? “
Raymond felt a sting, he could already feel the responsibility mount on his shoulder.
