"That was all your fault Abel!" I screamed angrily as I drove. "She hates us now and all because you can't control yourself!"

"Well you didn't tell me she was still a minor!" He growled. "You're supposed to tell me this kind of information!"

We were siblings. We've always been close even at birth because we are twins. Not just any twins we were identical. We always shared everything but when position for beta came up he stepped down. I was stronger than him but he was smarter than me. So when the position for Gama was found open since the last Gama couldn't have children. He took his shot without a second thought. One thing we forgot to think about is our children whenever we find our mate. We would both have to have separate offspring to take our positions. But then there would also be our mates' positions. If she was in a weaker position it'd be fine but she's not, she's stronger.

I suddenly realized something. I hit the brecks and turned into a burger King turning around and driving in the opposite direction. "What the hell was she doing 5 hours away from her pack?"

Abel looked at me with wide eyes before it hit him too. "Did she go rogue?"

"I don't think so she didn't smell like it" I paused for a moment "actually her scent smelt more pure…. Maybe she never actually officially joined the RedWoods pack."

My brother suddenly whipped his computer open, typing quickly on it. He changed the destination on my GPS to a small town I've never heard of. "She will be around this area." He stated simply. I trusted his call so I started the 5 hour drive over.

It was freezing cold when we got to this town it was nightfall and the only place open was this small 24 hour motel. We decided to stay there the night and go searching for her in the morning.

When we got up a million scents fled our noses. Pancakes, coffee, Humans, werewolves, even witches, and a vampire. How were so many living together in peace? I stepped outside to see at least 30 kids all playing together of all ages. I looked at the diner across the street to see a bunch of adults sitting around a large table talking and laughing? While the rest of the world is in war this place is in perfect peace and harmony.

Abel walked out and took a deep breath then looked around. "How about we get some breakfast?" he said casually walking across the street. I followed him over with a yawn.

We woke up early. I finished some more work in the house then got dressed in a sports bra and leggings. I waited for Justin to come down. He was wearing black shorts and red and white hightops and no shirt. I tied my black sneakers laces then opened the door for him. We ran through the woods towards the town in our human forms.

"Get your ass in gear before I kick it in gear!" I yelled at Justin, making him speed up. He huffed along. I've always loved the smell of this town. No one here cared who you were, your family after the attack. I know the survivors came here. The witches had casted a spell here to keep all inside safe. That's how the pack house and village were not destroyed but I'm pretty sure they don't go there anymore because of the attack. They Are all in more danger out here but they can't be in there because the alpha was still in control there but was gone. So they couldn't exactly run the town. I was not planning on forcing anyone to do anything. I did not rightfully earn this pack as the rest of my family did. The ranks were hardly filled in the first place.

The town was bigger than I remembered. There are definitely more people here. As we finally got into town there were some kids playing. One of the girls came to a complete stop and stared at us then came running over to us at full speed. She ran and jumped onto Justin. I was confused for a second just thinking this girl was harassing him but realized as of today we are of age. I slowed to a walking pace but I kept moving completely ignoring this show of affection. I walked into the grocery store and bought some produce and ran back to the pack house. I put it all away in its respective place. On my run back to town I made a few calls and got electricity back in the pack house ground and went ahead and got it for the rest of the town that didn't have it. Next I would have to get proper plumbing going again.

I ran out a little ways past the town to this old lumber yard and walked inside to find this old man and his son, who looked about my age a little older. I went to the old man and took a deep breath.

"Hey um what kind of wood do you have here that I can buy?" He looked me over carefully.

"Sorry but we're closing down. I no longer have the strength to chop down the trees."

I smiled softly. "If I bring in the trees for you would that help?"

His eyes widened and he stood up and walked to me. He smelt my scent then hugged me "Jenny?"

I hugged him back gently "surprise." This man used to be the Gama for my father. He was also my God father before I got taken by my grandparents unrightfully. I had always called him ap ap because I never knew how to say his name. It was a Korean name. Sounded and looked nothing like ap ap but being the little kid I was, I called him what I wanted.

"Justin is here too." I said softly. I knew Justin was everyone's favorite no matter where we were.

"He is" he smiled and patted me on the back and walked out to find him.

"So why are you in your brother's shadow if you're the alpha?" a deep husky voice said and I flinched looking up to him.

I shrugged "if he gets all the glory I'm fine with that. I'm not in his shadow, I'm just…. Not on the same page as him" I had nearly forgotten he was here when I was talking to Seojoon. "What's it to you anyway?"

He looked at me, arching a brow. "Oh you want them to look at him you don't really want to be alpha do you" he walked to me leaning down in my face. "Or are you waiting to show the world that you're better than him?"

I looked him in the eye and flicked his nose. "You couldn't be any more wrong there" I smelt him involuntarily. "Half which half wolf" I said more to myself than to him.

He chuckled and stood up straight "I like you alpha" this time I arched a brow waiting for him to elaborate. "Tell you what how about you come play a game with me and a couple of my friends and I'll drop the subject"

"What game?" I asked skeptically.

"Street hockey." He said bluntly

"Sure why not. Got any spare skates that might fit me? Also name?" I asked and yawned softly.

"Ya sure do. And it's Nathan" he grabbed my hand and walked outside and to an outside basketball court and walked to a large tote and threw me some skates and knee and elbow pads. I put them on and he did his own. He called a couple people over. We had enough to do a 3 on 3. I got put on a team with a vampire and a witch. All of us were pureblood. The vampire was about 6'5 he was tall and lean he was toned.his name was Michael The witch was 5'4 he was short and fragile looking his name was Konner. I knew that he put me on this team on purpose. This was a game of aggressiveness. If you're strong you have a chance in this game. Nathan's team were all half bloods. Nathan was 6'3 muscular and well grounded. Jess and Will were brothers about a year apart and both were 6'4 muscular and well coordinated. I knew all of us would be fast besides Konner, assuming our natural speed that is. Michael was gonna without a doubt be the fastest.

"Hey konner stand directly behind Nathan and Michael can you stand to my left please" I stood at 5'2 but I was strong and fast. I had a plan.

"Um sure?" Konner stood behind Nathan. Michael glared at me for a second probably not liking me giving orders. I completely understand that. Then he strolled over to the position. Nathan and I went head to head first. The puck got dropped between us and I quickly changed the angle I was holding the stick and shoved the puck under Nathan's legs straight to konner. Then I let Nathan shove me over but as I fell I kicked one foot out from under him making him fall on top of me. Konner shot the puck into the goal and everyone looked at him in shock.

I knew it. I can use them easily. The next time it was Konner going head to head with Jess. I got up and went over to him.

"Hey Konner , can you trust me for this play?"

"Ya sure" he smiled warmly at me. I couldn't help but smile back.

"Ok so as soon as the puck drops move out of the way don't worry about hitting the buck just move. Ok?" He looked confused but nodded.

Next I walked over to Michael who would be my key player in this turn. "Hey um Michael?" I started.

He looked at me coldly. "What?"

"Don't worry about getting the puck I'm gonna get the goal all by myself" I said sternly then walked off. I could feel the anger radiating off of him.

I went to the right and so did Michael. That would put both of us against Nathan so Will came over to the right as well. When the puck dropped, Konner moved and Jess went to shove him but face planted. Michael shoved me into Nathan and we both fell into Will. Michael had the puck in a flash and was scoring in seconds.

The rest of the game progressed like that. The score ended up being 25 to 6. We won by a landslide and I didn't have to score a single time.

"Man girl you just got carried by your team" Jess laughed, punching me in my now sore arm.

I laughed along with him. "Ya I kinda suck at this game" I smiled at him. We all broke off and me and Nathan walked back to the lumber yard.

"So that's how you play"

"Ya I don't play mu-"

"I'm not blind I could see that you were pushing that entire game ahead. Then let them take credit." I sighed in defeat

"And when did u figure that out"

"First play." Ya I figured

I came to a sudden stop as I got the overwhelming scent of sea breeze and lavender…. But then there is another scent from a different direction. It smells like burnt pine wood and vanilla.
