We got out of the meeting and she darted out the door. Instinctively I followed her; when I got outside I saw her run into the arms of a tall lean boy. They looked similar, probably siblings. I walked near them to my car to listen to what they were saying.

"C'mon we can hang out with my friends since it is our last day here" the guy smiled down at her as she just kept hugging him.

"You can go ahead and do that I don't want to make you end on a bad note with them because of me" she stepped away from him with a soft smile but I could feel nothing but sadness from her. I wanted so badly to go over there and comfort her but I was curious as to why she hadn't been reacting to the mate bond.

"... ok sis. We are leaving tomorrow at dawn right?" She nodded in response. I became more confused about what they were talking about.

'Are they planning on going rogue?' I asked my wolf, hunter,

'I think so…' I heard him whine

'I hope not I really want to see her next time I come here

'Let's mark her now!' Hunter growled at which I shook my head

'I don't think she will accept us…" I whispered. 'I mean I wouldn't expect som-' I got pulled out of my mind when my alpha hit me. "Yes?" I looked at him.

He laughed after hearing my conversation with hunter. "She's not of age yet you dork so shut the hell up already" a sigh of relief escaped my mouth

I heated a yelp, and I turned quickly just to see the tall lean boy picking a small girl that's probably a freshman. However my beautiful mate's face was covered in disgust as she walked away from them.

She walked away, hips swaying. I couldn't help but let my eyes fall to her plump ass in that short skirt. My eyes follow her until she's completely out of sight.

I sighed and turnt a little just to see the tall lanky boy that she was with. "I'm hello?" I'm almost as tall as him but I have a more muscular build.

He looked at me with a sharp glare. "What do you want with Jennifer?" His voice was cold and icy. When I heard her name I couldn't help but admire such a beautiful name. I must have been thinking about it for too long because he clapped his hands in front of my face causing me to flinch.

"Oh ya...um I'm her mate…." I looked at him trying to read his expression but he just raised his eyebrows looking surprised

"You look nothing like her type" he looked me over again "or act like her type either… you sure your not just a pedophile"

I felt my heart drop but I didn't let it shoe "Oh and how would you know that bean pole"

He just laughed and walked away "oh she is going to eat you alive" he laughed more and I just stared baffled. This boy makes 0 sense!

The next thing I know my alpha is getting in the passenger seat meaning I'm driving us home. I got in and started driving but as soon as we got out of pack grounds he spoke up.

"That's a pretty big age gap ya got there" I thought for a moment and glanced over at him.

"How old is she?"

"17"

"That's a 9 years age difference!" I coughed a bit. Shocked I just keep glancing at him to see if he was just f*****g with me ".... when is her birthday?"

He smirked at me "this Sunday"

A smile crept over my face "can we please come back this Sunday? Pleassssssseeeeeeee?" I begged fully prepared to get down on my knees and follow him around the rest of the day and tomorrow. He laughed and nodded to which my smile brightened and my mood skyrocketed.

The next couple hours were quiet beside small talk and some music.and the following day was the slowest day of my life.
