Episode name: CEO contract merry
Chapter 1: The CEO's Contract
The hospital lights were too bright. Too cold.
The only sound was the beeping of machines.
In my trembling hands was a bill.
$2,000,000. Due in 48 hours.
If I didn’t pay, they would turn off my Mom’s ventilator.
I had nothing. No money. No one. No hope.
Then the elevator doors opened.
And he walked in.
Kim Jae-won.
The youngest and coldest CEO in Korea.
Black 3-piece suit. Eyes like ice. A face that could freeze anyone.
Everyone feared him. Because there was no warmth in him.
He stopped right in front of me.
His gaze dropped to the bill in my hands.
"$2 Million?" His voice was low, sharp, and freezing.
"For your mother?"
Tears filled my eyes.
"Jae-won ssi... please. I... I’ll do anything."
He raised one eyebrow. A faint smirk touched his lips, but it never reached his eyes.
"Anything?"
He snapped his fingers. A guard handed him a black folder. A contract.
"One year. Marry me. On paper only.
You’ll attend events as Mrs. Kim. We’ll live separately at home.
In return, I’ll clear your mother’s $2 Million bill."
My heart pounded so loud I could hear it.
"Contract... Marriage?"
"Exactly. No love. No touching. No fights. Just a deal."
He held out a pen to me. "Don’t think. You don’t have time."
I looked toward my Mom’s room. She was on a ventilator. Barely breathing.
Tears fell down my cheeks.
"Fine..." I whispered, my voice breaking. "I accept. I’ll sign."
The moment I signed, he took the contract back.
"Congratulations, Mrs. Kim."
He said coldly. "You just sold yourself for $2 Million."
And then he walked away.
Back straight. Heart made of stone.
And I was left standing there...
Now the wife of the CEO.
Chapter 2: First Night At The Mansion
The black car stopped in front of a huge white mansion.
Kim Jae-won's mansion.
The doors opened and two maids bowed. "Welcome, Mrs. Kim."
I was still in shock. 2 hours ago I was desperate in a hospital. Now I was the wife of the CEO.
Jae-won was already inside. Sitting on a black sofa. No tie. Shirt sleeves rolled up. Still cold.
"You're late," he said without looking up from his laptop.
"This is your room." He pointed upstairs. "Rule number one: Stay out of my way. Rule number two: Don't talk to me unless I talk to you first."
My heart sank. "What about my mom? The payment?"
Finally he looked at me. Those ice eyes.
"Money will be transferred by morning. Keep your part of the deal, Mrs. Kim."
That night I slept in a room bigger than my whole house.
Alone. With $2 Million on my head and a cold husband downstairs.
I didn't know if I was saved... or trapped.
Chapter 3: The CEO's Rule No.1
Morning came too fast.
I came downstairs for breakfast. Jae-won was already there. Reading the newspaper. Coffee in hand.
He didn't look at me.
"There's a gala tonight," he said. "Be ready by 7 PM. Wear something elegant. You're my wife."
My stomach twisted. "I don't have any dresses..."
He slid a black card across the table.
"Buy one. Don't embarrass me."
At 7 PM, I stood in front of the mirror. Red dress. Simple makeup. Heart pounding.
When I came down, Jae-won's eyes flickered. Just for one second.
Then it was gone. Back to ice.
"Good," he said. "Let's go, Mrs. Kim."
In the car, he finally spoke.
"Remember the rules. Smile. Nod. Don't speak unless asked. And whatever you do... don't fall for me."
I laughed nervously. "Why would I?"
He tur
ned to me. His voice was low.
"Because everyone does."
And my heart did something stupid.
It skipped a beat.
