Nicolas POV
I barely slept last night; I want Lana in my arms. So, I got ready early in the morning and asked the guards to take me to our coastline hotel. After arriving there early in the morning, I went to my sky lounge. I didn't want to wake Long early; I needed to be alone to clear my head. I reached my apartment at 6 am, and before I went inside my room, I went outside Lana's room to check up on her, but stupid me. I couldn't go inside her room. So, I stayed outside her room for 15 minutes before coming to my apartment.
I couldn't sit still; my mind was all over Lana. I needed distraction so my head wouldn't explode. I went to the mid-level and sat by the pool. I was enjoying the quiet morning breeze.
I closed my eyes, letting the chilled morning air take me, when suddenly I felt someone's presence next to me. Call it a habit; I instantly opened my eyes and went into a fighting stance. Only to find a frightened girl, her ocean blue eyes turned into fear.
She was so scared; I must've scared her with my action, "s**t," I cursed myself.
I took a set closer to her to ensure she was okay, but Lana looked scared, and she stepped back.
"Hey, I am sorry; I didn't mean to scare you," I said, quickly apologizing for what I did.
She still looked afraid. But I gently put out my hand for her to hold to trust me. And after a few seconds of hesitation, she finally took my hand. I gently put her down on the seat that I was lying before.
"Hey, I am sorry. I didn't mean to scare you. I shouldn't have acted that way," I said. I was rubbing the back of her hands to calm her.
And surprisingly, she did calm down.
She looked at me with those beautiful blue eyes, and I couldn't help but fall deep inside them.
"You're the guy from the plane, right?" she asked me after a few minutes of silence.
I didn't know she would remember me, but here she is, blowing my mind away.
"yes, It is me," I say, still holding her hand in mine.
"I was hoping I would run into you again," she said; her voice was so beautiful and sweet.
"Why is that?" I asked her, not breaking eye contact with her.
She looks at me and then smiles.
"Thank you for all you did for me on the plane. It was my first time traveling, and I was quite nervous," she says shyly.
God, I was falling for her.
"no problem; I am glad I could help you," I reply.
It almost feels like I am suddenly lost for words in front of her.
"So, um, what are you doing here so early? Do you stay here as well?" her sweet voice pulled me back.
"Yes, I own this place, and sometimes I do live here," I tell her, but like typical girls, who acts surprised when they hear this? She didn't react like that.
She just gave me a warm smile and nod.
"What have you up so early?" I managed to ask her.
"Um, you could say habit. I used to wake up early back at home, and that is when I would get all my chores and cooking done, but since there is none of that here, I thought I'd walk around the place", she says gently, looking away from me, and into the view of the sea.
"Do you love the sea?" I ask her again.
She turned around, and once again, I met her gorgeous eyes.
"Yes, but I don't know how to swim," she says slowly so no one can hear her. As she says she continues, "Don't laugh at me, okay? I was never taught how to swim, and I didn't have the luxury to get a swimming instructor". There was so much pain in her voice, but she did a good job keeping her emotions in check.
"I can teach you", I quickly say.
She looks at me surprised but quickly says, "No, that's okay; I wouldn't want to waste your time; you must have a lot of work, being a hotel owner."
I retake her hand and insist again.
"It's no problem for me; I swim here in the afternoons anyways, so It's not a big hustle for me." "And don't you want to experience it?" I tell her, not giving her a chance to refuse me.
"Um, are you sure I won't be taking your time?" she asks again.
"I am sure," I say with a big smile.
As that settles, we turn around and look at the Sunrise together. It was a beautiful moment, having the sun come up with a beautiful girl next to me. My day couldn't have gone better.
As the Sunrise ended, I asked, "Would you care to join me for breakfast?".
She looked at me and, with a slight smile, nodded.
"By the way, My name is Nicolas Black Lion." I introduce myself to her as I put out my hand for her.
"My name is Lana, Lana Q," she said as she took my hand.
I stood there, with her hand in mine, not wanting to let go, but I didn't want to scare the girl, so I quickly let go of her hand and gestured towards the buffet.
She slowly followed me, and once we were inside the buffet. I got Lucas to give us the private booth; I did not want any attention towards us.
We sat down, and the chef made his best dishes.
We ate as we chatted, and she told me about her fears and Favorite hobbies. She asked me for mine. I couldn't help but open up to her, which is unusual; usually, I don't let anyone in my personal space, but the conversation flowed perfectly with her.
After breakfast, I gave her my number, got hers, and told her I would contact her tonight about the swimming lesson when suddenly a staff member rushed in and started yelling at her.
