Between David and Amyleigh, I was never left without a drink in my hand. At the beginning of the night, I was doing a mental tally of the cost of my drinks with the idea of paying my selfless friend back every cent she spent on me. Halfway through the fourth and well into the fifth drink I was too busy concentrating on staying vertical and not letting anyone see the alcohol fuelled, vulnerable state now taking over me. Obviously I wasn't a big drinker in the memory foggy days and my anebriated condition was a shock, sneaking up on me and scaring me from behind. I concentrated on mimicking the behaviour of those around me, yet that was becoming a challenge as well.
