The Mysterious disappearance. 

After meeting their neighbors the Singhania family was returning to their bungalow. The night was dark and its nearly 9:00 in the clock. The path they are taken has no lights and they are having a lot of difficulties in tracing their way forward. Though it is a full moon night, there is no light of the moon as the moon is covered behind the clouds. It is a chilling environment with a cold breeze blowing over the place. The entire environment is filled with unwanted silence which is sometimes disturbed by the sounds of animals. One can only see the lights of the huts in the village which appears as tiny little fireflies glowing in a distance and is the only pleasant scene in this silent and dusky setting of the environment.

Finally, they reach their bungalow with a lot of difficulties. When they reach their bungalow they see no one is there in the gate and none of the security guards is present in the gate. They do nothing and go inside their bungalow. When they are entering the bungalow, the children see a shadow of a person going towards the village which looks unusual to them as it is not a time for anyone to go towards the village. Apart from that, the person looks in a hurry as he is working very fast and sometimes he is running.  The children do not tell to their parents this and entered the house. After sometimes the security guard also arrives but no one tells him anything as the entire family is in a pleasant mood.

The entire family is having an extended conversation about their neighbors and they are so much involved in the conversation that they do not recognize the time at all. It is nearly 11:30 at night. They all are sitting in the great hall where the statue of the soldier with a sword in his hand. Then suddenly Mr. Singhania sees a shadow of a man standing near one of the larger windows which looks a bit mysterious to him as it’s nearly 11:45 and it’s too late for a person to be present there at this point of the night.

After a few minutes, they heard the scream of the security guard sounds pretty fearful to all of them. They decide to go out and see what the entire matter is. The scream was so terrifying that the people who are leaving in the servant quarter also come running towards the gate along with the other security guard. When they all reach the spot they see that the guard is lying unconscious in the ground. It looks like someone has hit hard in his head with a stone. The guard is immediately taken inside the house so that he can get proper treatment as Mrs. Singhania is a doctor she always has an emergency kit with her for situations like this.

When the guard gets back his consciousness everyone wants to know what has happened and who has struck him so hard in the head. After drinking some water the guard begins;

“I was having a walk near the gate when I heard someone is calling my name. When I go near the gate I see a person is trying to climb through the wall inside the area of the house, when I go towards him to stop the individual by seeing me he jumps down and starts running when suddenly something strikes my head with huge force and I get unconscious and don’t remember anything after that.”

After hearing the whole incident everyone present there gets a little bit of tense. The children now tell them that they have seen a person running towards the village when they are entering the house. This makes the entire situation tenser and bizarre. Mr. Singhania ordered that there shall be strict security this night and both the guards shall be at duty. If the servants want they can also join them but he cannot force them. After this, all present there leave the house except the family members.

After everyone left the entire family goes upstairs to their room. It is nearly 12:30 at night when they go to bed after the whole incident. But both the Singhania son and daughter can not sleep and hence they are awake till late at night. Rahul decides to see if his sister is sleeping or not, and when he finds she is awake they decide to have some conversation and play games until they fell asleep. This continues till midnight until they decide to go to bed.

When both of them are preparing to go to bed they heard a sudden knocking sound in the door. They thought that their parents are knocking at the door by seeing the light in the room. When Rahul opens the door he sees no one and is a bit surprised. There is no light in their parent’s room which ascertains that they are sleeping and they don’t knock at the door. The entire corridor is filled with dusk and nothing is visible to naked eyes. When seeing no one Rahul is going towards his room he heard someone running down the stairs which quite startled him and he gets a little bit frightened. As it is a wooden staircase Neelam also heard the noise and so, she comes out of her room to see what’s the matter.

As it is night time nothing is visible properly and they can see no one in the corridor. Both of them decide to go downstairs and see for themselves if anyone is present there or not. They decide not to disturb their parents and go downstairs alone. So, they start getting down the stairs making a minimal amount of noise and catching each other hand tightly. When they reach the lowermost stairs they stop for a while to look around if anyone is present there or not. But they find no one and hence again started to advance forward and finally they reach the ground floor. Then they start searching first in the living room, then the hall, kitchen, dining area, but there can be found nothing nor any person which can be seen hiding in these places. The only thing that attracts the attention of both the brother and sister is that the two windows adjacent to the statue in the hall are open. The elder sister decides to close both the windows when her brother Rahul keeps an eye inside the house if anyone is coming towards two of them to get out of the house when Neelam is closing the windows but no one arrives or comes in front of them.

Finding no one hiding in the house they decide to go back to their room upstairs and sleep. When both of them come near the staircase and are about to go upstairs they suddenly heard someone is calling both of their names in a shrill voice. It appears like the voice of a woman calling the name of “N-E-E-L-A-M” first and after some pause calling the name of “R-A-H-U-L”. Both of them get a pretty much startled by this. After a few moments, they heard the opening of a door which terrified them to a great extent. When they turn their back towards the hallway they can see that the room which is locked has been opened suddenly and the windows are also open which Neelam has shut down with her own hand. The entire scene is so horrific that they are about to run upwards towards their room but suddenly a strong wind starts blowing which makes the entire setting more and more terrifying.

After a bit, the wind becomes so strong that the windows begin to open and close and banging themselves very hard. Both of them get so much frightened that they hold each other hand so tightly that it gets rashes on the hand. They are so much terrified that they can not move from their spots even a little. Thereupon, the whole area starts filling with fog. Then they heard the sound of a horse and can see a man with a sword riding the horse. They recognized that it is the same statue which they have seen in the hall and it is moving toward them with its sword held high. They wanted to yell for help but none of them is able to utter a single word and can see the man riding the horse appearing nearby and can hear his fearful groan. He comes nigher and nigher with his sword hold high. They can hear the sound of the horse and the fearful cry getting wilder and wilder and thereupon the man stops near them with his horse. Subsequently, they feel something struck them very heard and it is none other than the sword of the statue.
