Harvest Weekend. It was a long holiday that started on Friday, ran through the weekend and then ended on Monday. Harvest Weekend was a time for love and family. My family usually spent it together at the lakehouse deep in the compound. We usually started the weekend with a dinner together and ended it with a bonfire on Sunday night. Monday was used to recover from all the festivities. I usually looked forward to this time of the year but this time, I couldn’t help but feel a little anxious. Gabriel was not only coming to this dinner but was going to spend the entire weekend with us. There were so many things wrong with this sentence that I couldn’t even fathom. My mother was going to flip her lid. There was no possible way this wouldn’t end in disaster. “What’s wrong with you?” Caroline
