Edward was seated on a bench in the back yard. He was steering clear of the house. A movement caught his eye. He stared at where he saw it, but it was gone. His instincts screamed at him that something was wrong. He got up and went into the house. Leon was sleeping in his study on the couch. He shook him awake. 'We have to leave. Something is wrong, I can feel it'. Leon sat up. 'Get the car' he ordered. Then he took the stairs two at a time, wrapping Mandy in his comforter and grabbing his backpack. Then he went down. Edward was waiting in the driveway. He placed Mandy on the backseat and got in next to Edward. They pulled away, and he saw the liger behind the car. Edward saw it too, and sped up, heading into the city. She kept up with them, but they managed to lose her when they left the
