Chapter 35

Sectionals

"Babe, I'm so sorry but I aint got any train ticket to Lima. All full bocked." Sean says from the phone.

"That's okay, I'll go back home tomorrow and we can meet in New York." I sigh and half-smiled.

"Dont be sad, my queen. I will book a flight ticket okay." Sean says.

"No, you dont need to. I can go back home tomorrow. At least you got a ticket from Atlanta to New York right." I said from the phone.

"No, I got flight ticket. You're in William McKinley High School right? Wait me then." Sean hungs up the phone.

I let out a sigh and still standing outside the choir room. Today is sectional day and actually Sean was planning to come here to see the sectionals but he aint got the ticket from Atlanta to Lima.

Besides that tonight is also thanksgiving. I really want to have thanksgiving with Sean and my family tonight but he cant come and that's makes me sad.

I turn my body and go back to enter the choir room until someone takes my hand and shows me a bouquet of white roses.

I turn my face and Sean is smiling at me. I cant believe that he is here! I mean he just told me that he didnt get the ticket.

"Been lying for a bit, I got the train ticket and here I am." Sean smiles at me.

"I hate you! You almost make me mad okay." I giggle and hug him.

"Ah I miss you." Sean hugs me back.

"Why you have to lie to me?" I raise my eyebrows.

"Because I want to make a little surprise. I got flight ticket from Atlanta to Lima and I also got two flight tickets from here to New York tomorrow." Sean says to me.

"That's great. Well, let me show you to the others." I take Sean's hand and walks lead him to the choir room.

"What is this?" Sean asks as he looked around.

"This is choir room." I said to Sean. "Well, everyone let me introduce you, this is Sean, my boyfriend. And Sean that's everyone." I grin at them.

"Nice to see you again, man!" Finn shakes Sean's hand.

"Nice to see you too." Sean says to Finn.

"He took a flight from Atlanta to here and at first he lied to me and told me that he aint got the ticket." I giggle.

"Cool. Make yourself feel like home." Finn smiles at us and walks off.

Sean put his hand around my shoulder. I take him to the seat and sit down as we are waiting for the others before the show begin.

Sam's POV

"Alright, it's perfect." I said as I fix my tie.

I went out from the boys locker room and walk in the hallways with the other boys. Today is sectionals but I promise I will do my best for sectionals today.

We keep walking in the hallways until we enter the choir room. I see Emily is sitting down with a guy on the front row and talking each other until that guy turn his face a bit and that's Sean guy.

"Who is he?" Blaine whisper at me.

"That's her new boyfriend Sean." I simply said to Blaine.

"What the hell is he doing here?" Blaine frowns.

"I dont know." I shrug.

I turn my face at them and they talking also laughing at each other. I'm jealous right now but I dont have to show it.

I walk to Brittany and standing behind her who is busy with her make up and hair. I take a comb and brush her hair.

"Sam?" Brittany raises her eyebrows at me.

"Uh-uh yes." I turn my face at Brittany.

Brittany takes my hand and walks lead me to the corner. "What's wrong with you?"

"Emily's new boyfriend is here. And I cant.... damn!"

"Be cool okay. You just need to dress nice and act like you are okay." Brittany grins at me.

I let out a sigh. "I'm trying to."

"Come on, lets make them jealous." Brittany grins at me and takes my hand.

Brittany walks lead me and then she suddenly fix my tie as we standing near them. Emily take a look at me and rolls her eyes. She then put her hand around Sean's shoulder.

"It's working." I said quietly to Brittany.

"Now kiss me." Brittany smirks at me.

I cup Britt's cheek and push my face closer to her ans give her a quick kiss on his lips. After that I turn my face at Emily and she leans her head on Sean's shoulder.

Emily glared at me and I just pretend like I didnt see her and turn my face at Brittany.

"Thank you so much." I smile at Brittany.

"You're welcome." Brittany grins at me.

Emily's POV

"So, you left Junior alone?" I ask Sean.

"I left him in pet care, baby. Dont worry about that." Sean smiles at me.

I just smile back at him. Until the boys walks in. Sam turn his face at us and he glares at Sean. I pull my seat closer to Sean and talking to him but take a look at Sam a bit.

"When I want to go here, there was a guy who wanna stole my ticket." Sean says to me.

"Really? But you okay right?" I raise my eyebrows at Sean.

"Yeah but he cant take my ticket away because it was the only thing that can bring me here to you." Sean grins at me.

"Sweet." I grin back at him.

I take a look at Sam and he is standing near us with Brittany as she fix his tie. I roll my eyes and put my hand around Sean's shoulder.

"This place looks cool." Sean says to me.

"I know that. That's why I love being here." I giggle.

I turn my face at Sam and he kisses Brittany. I glare at them and lean my head on Sean's shoulder. And Sean put his hand around my shoulder.

This is for the revenge, Sam Evans. You think only you who can make me jealous with you. I also can do the same thing like that.

"Alright, show circle everyone!" Finn says and the girls walks in.

"What's show circle?" Marley asks.

"Come on." Santana takes her hand.

"It's a tradition before every competition." Tina says to her.

I'm standing from my seat and takes Sean's hand and walk to huddle up together. Sean put his hand around my shoulder. I take a look at Sam and he put his hand around Brittany's so I put my hand around Sean's waist.

"It's something Mr. Schue made up and today I want to add to it. Besides that we have a guest who want to watch our performance. Thanks for coming, dude." Finn says to Sean.

"Just little curious with the show choir championship but thanks for let me be here." Sean says.

"Alright Joe, how about you lead us in prayer?" Finn asks Joe.

"Whoa, dude, Old Testament. There's Hebrews here." Puck says.

"Yeah." Jake nodded.

"Okay. This is one of my favorite Bible verses from Isaiah. Considering that the Warblers are so good, and that it's the first competition for a lot of you, I think it's appropriate. 'So do not fear because I am with you. Do not be dismayed. I will strengthen you, I will uphold you with my righteous hand." Joe says.

We just giggle and cheering together.

"All right! Ugh! Man, I-I remember our first sectionals like it was yesterday. We came together as a team because we had to.

Because no one outside our circle knew how much we'd been through, and how much it meant to us to win it. This is our house. Look into the faces of these graduates. They've been to the mountaintop. This is just the first step in your climb to meet them there." Finn grins at us.

"On three?" Santana grins at us and shows her hands.

We then hugging at each other then went out from the choir room. And walk to the auditorium.

Sean hold my hands as we walk together in the hallways.

"Aww that was my former locker." I said to Sean and points to a locker.

"I know you miss high school." Sean says to me.

I turn my face at him and smiles at him. We then walk enter the auditorium as the sectionals will be begin.

"A reminder that the American Legion Turkey Shoot begins at 6:00 pm. So, please, drive carefully. Now, put your hands together for our distinguished panel of judges! Lima News Obituary Editor, Stan Cook! Chief Historian of the Lima Locomotive Museum, Harrison Paolucci! And the 2012. Defiance County Catfish Queen, Allison Metcalf!"

Suddenly curtains lift up and a warbler standing on the stage alone.

"I'm Hunter Clarington, and we're the Dalton Academy Warblers. Hope you enjoy the show." He grins at us.

The warblers come out from the stage and start singing. They sing Whistle by Flo Rida. I turn my face at Finn and look at each other. This is more than we expected. They're cool.

"Oh hell to the no." Mercedes gasped.

"Who is that new gay boy?" I ask.

"Hunter Clarrington. The new Warblers leader. They were stole our nationals trophy." Blaine says to me.

"How the hell you didnt tell me this, Finn?" I frown at Finn.

"Sam and Blaine can takr the nationals trophy back." Finn says to me.

I turn my face back to the stage and the Warblers singing their second song. It's Live While We're Young by One Directions.

"Seriously, they got more power." I said.

"Everything will be fine. This little gangnam style will kill." Santana calm me down.

"Yeah we will perform a number than any other show choir never did before." Tina says.

"The good thing is we perform last!" Finn says to us.

The Warblers end up their performance with full of clapping and cheering from the audience. I turn my face at these kids and they look nervous especially the new member.

Next one is The Rosedale Mennonities. Sometimes they can shock us with their performance.

"Alright everyone backstage now. Go! Go!" Santana says to them.

They stand up from their seats and walks to the backstage.

"You want to follow me to the backstage or stay here?" I ask Sean.

"I wanna watch the performance so I guess I will stay here." Sean smiles at me.

"Alright because I wanna control those kids." I give Sean a quick kiss then walk off.

I walk off from the audience seat and walk to the backstage to get the others and make sure everything is okay and fine.

"Mr. Schue is here!" Sam says as he take a look from the curtains.

"What?" Joe asks.

"Yes, he is here!" Sam says.

The Rosedale Mennonities ended up their performance and they went off from the stage. I keep look around and look at Blaine who looks a bit sad.

I take my phone from my jeans pocket and text Kurt that I guess he should call Blaine right now and forgive him because this is the only way to make them win sectionals.

Blaine stand up from his seat and pick up a phone and walk to the corner. I just half-smiled and take a look at my phone that Kurt answer my message and he said yes.

"Listen up, everybody we never lose in sectionals before and we have to win this." Finn said to them.

"Yeah Finn is absolutely right." Tina nodded as agree.

Blaine finally walks back. I turn my face at him and smiles at him then hug him. "He forgive you right?" I ask Blaine.

"Yeah, after million calls and text messages." Blaine half-smiled at me. "Thank you."

"I feel pity when you called Kurt and he was in my apartment. He didnt take a nap there. He doesnt want to answer your call so I took his phone to answer that." I half-smiled at Blaine.

"I know that. We promise that we will have a christmas together." Blaine smiles at me.

"Glad to hear that." I smile back at Blaine.

"Ladies and gentlemen, welcome to the stage the New Directions!"

"Alright good luck you guys!" Finn says to them and run off.

"Good luck!" I smile and them.

I turn my face at Sam and half-smiled at him and he half-smiled back at me. The music begin and he walks off to the stage with his solo dance.

At the end of the performance Marley collapsed on the stage. Jake takes her and bring her out from the stage with follow from the others in panic. They left the audience with a frown.

We then make a little run until we got into the choir room with Jake and Ryder bring Marley.

"What happened?" Sean runs to me.

"I dont know. She collapsed." I frown and walks into the choir room.

"Give her some room. She needs space! Breathe, girl, breathe!" Unique says to Marley.

"Does anyone have anything she can eat?" Kitty asks.

"I have some leftover Halloween candy in my locker." Tina says and walks off.

"I may have a juice box." Blaine says and walks to his bag.

"I'll go get Marley's mom." Joe run off.

"This is bad. Never in the history of show choir competitions has anyone ever fainted." Artie says.

Blaine throw that juice box to Sam. "We got the juice. We got the juice." Sam give that juice to Marley.

"No, I'm okay." Marley shake her head.

"Drink the damn juice!" Kitty yells.

"Marley? Marley, are you okay? What happened?" Finn asks us.

"She hasn't been eating. She's been skipping lunch." Jake answer.

"Is that because you've been telling her to? You trying to turn her into a damn rexy?" Santana glares at Kitty.

"What? No. Why would I why would I want that?" Kitty shakes her head.

"Cause you're a crazy, evil bitch." Santana glares at Kitty.

"Hey, Marley, you all right?" Mr. Schue walks in.

"The nurse is on the way, Mr. Schue." Finn says to Mr. Schue.

"Santana, Puck, you stay here with Marley. The rest of you guys, get back up there.

Leaving the stage mid-competition, for any reason, is risking immediate disqualification." Mr. Schue says to us.

"What?! That-that's a rule?" Finn frowns.

"Yeah, it's a rule." Coach Sylvester suddenly walks in. "One of the bylaws, actually.

As all of you all were spiraling into a self created K-hole of crazy, the judges, by unanimous vote, have declared the Warblers victorious. Hey, congratulations, Finn Hudson. For the first time in its charmed, yet pitiful existence, the New Directions! Has lost Sectionals.

But here's the good news. Christmas came early for one Sue Sylvester." Coach Sylvester glares at us and walks off.

They just being quiet and gasped. Marley starts crying. I know Finn must be upset with this but I'm trying to calm him down.

"Calm down guys, I'll go back to talk with the comittee." Mr. Schue says to us and walks off.

"Now look the things that you've done! You ruinned her mind because you know that she is just innocent girl and you are crazy evil b***h!" Santana yells at Kitty.

"Santana...." I take Santana's body to calm her down.

"For the first time in history, New Directions lose in sectionals. We might lose in regionals for our first year and then lose on nationals for our second year and the third year was the best. How the hell nationals champs lose in sectionals?" Puck says angrily.

"Puck, calm down okay. Just calm down." I said to Puck.

"You think you can replace Rachel Berry? You dont know Rachel Berry. I know Rachel Berry and I'm friend with her." Tina glares at Marley.

"You are crazy evil b***h!" Santana yells at Kitty.

Everyone start arguing each other. Finn just let out a sigh and walks off from the choir room. Marley is still crying with Jake next to her to comfort her.

"Just calm down okay!" Jake says to them but nobody listening.

I walk to the back row of the seat row and take a seat then throw it to the front until it makes a loud of bang and the feet chair broke because it hit the piano and everyone suddenly being quiet.

"Enough, guys!!" I yell at them. "Dont blame each other. This is not someone's fault. This is an accident. So stop blaming each other!" I said to them.

"You said that because you think that this is not Marley's fault? And standing behind her?" Sam frowns at me.

"And now, you blame her? You dont remember that you told me that you were the one who asked her for an apologize at the first time she joined this glee club because you guys made fun about her mom." I raise my eyebrows at Sam.

"I mean..." Sam got cut off.

"I'm here not to blame anyone and find any victim that we can kill. This is accident, you know accident? Accident can happen to everyone in this room! Guys, some of you are in senior year and you guys will graduate then who will continue our glee club? Them! This year is the best year because you guys can get five new members. Remember last year when we want to face sectionals, how many member we have? Only nine! Even Finn, Rachel, and I have to went to Kentucky and begged to Sam's parents and to let him back to Lima but that wasnt enough until we have to add the bad members as our additional member for sectionals until Santana, Mercedes, Brittany and Sugar back to New Directions. Okay I know last year was the best but what about two years ago? How many member we got? Only one. And what I want to tell you that it's not about how many members we got each year." I said to them.

"The best thing about Glee Club is it's not about labels. If you can sing and you can dance, you belong." Sam says with his head down.

"That's it. That's what I'm going to say. I remember when I returned here with Finn. Mr. Schue told us that we are a family and family always stick up for each other. Our glee club is the place where we can find ourselves with our own magic. Glee club is when you can see Puck and Artie singing together not only singing, but they become friends." I said and smile at Puck and Artie. "Kurt always told me that this is the only place where everyone accept him for the way he is no matter what is your sexuality is or your gender, your culture, your skin color, black or white. We are same." I said to them.

"Glee club is when you always rolls eyes everytime Berry raises her hand and say 'Mr. Schue if I may?'" Santana chuckles.

I look at Santana and chuckle. "For me, glee club is about where you can find anything in your life. Remember when I went to school with pajama and messed up hair because I gave up on dancing and singing? It was sucks. And I dont want it happen to any of you here. You still have a dream and future. Seniors will go to college and juniors will take control the glee club. Now, I want to all of you to huddle up, and forgiving each other. We will get a chance to win sectionals next year then regionals and nationals." I smile at them.

They start smiling at each other. I'm standing in the middle and spread my arms and smiling at them. They walks closer to me and start hugging me and we hugging each other and smiling at them.

Finn went out from our room and hold his phone. I'm just sitting down on the sofa with Sean next to me as we watch tv on the living room in second floor.

"I called Rachel." Finn sighs and lay on the other sofa.

"Then how it's go?" I ask Finn.

"She also has her competition and she won. I'm just embarassed with her. I'm a failure and she is a winner." Finn sighs.

I walk to Finn and comfort him. "There will always be another chance okay, you can win this and you can win the sectionals next year whatsoever. Those kids are smart, Finn. And this is not totally your fault, this is an accident. You're not a failure but you're our quarterback, our leader." I said to Finn.

"You have to listen to her speech after you left the choir room, dude. It was really cool even though I didnt understand about that." Sean says to Finn.

"I heard that, clearly. And I dont know how you could say that to them." Finn says to me.

"There were too much pressure inside that room and I have to break a seat to stop them." I said to Finn.

"But thank you so much." Finn half-smiled at me.

"It's okay, honey, I will help you no matter what." I rub his back.

Finn just built a smile on his face and stand up. "I dont wanna disturb you both time. I better play game." Finn says to us and walks off.

I just shrug. I move my seat back to Sean and sit down next to him as he put his hand around my shoulder.

"I cant believe that you could say that." Sean says to me.

"I have my own magic." I giggle.

"I can see that." Sean giggles.

I just smile at him and kiss him softly until we pull our lips each other and Sam is smiling at me? I rub my eyes and Sean is turn his face back to the tv.

Ugh damn God! I really need to go back to New York so I will forget about Sam besides this was the place where we both first cuddled and start our fake relationship.
