Celestine made a sarcastic facial reaction while on the inside, felt froze when she heard Elise saying the word Boyfriend.
Is she saying that they were already together? Impossible. Caide doesn't know about Elise, even her existence. Why did he chose to be with her? Is he naïve?
"Ohhh. Boyfriend. Very funny, Elise. Good job!" Celestine answered with sarcasm, then clapped her hands.
Huh! Elise is being delusional. How did she manage to convince Caide to be with him and turned him to be her boyfriend for a short period of time? Did she gave a love potion to him? Pathetic. Celestine thought.
Celestine started to feel frustrated on the inside because of the unexpected revelation but she still don't believe what Elise had said, unless it came from Caide's mouth. She only believes in Caide, not to Elise and she will never believe her unless Caide confirms it.
"Yes! We are already in a relationship. Didn't you know? I already spread the news in the campus. Also, it would be pleasure to tell you face-to-face about this About us". Elise raised her and Caide's intertwined hand in front of Celestine face. She even showed some posted articles on her social media about her and Caide being in a relationship. It gained lots of likes and comments from their followers.
Some of the followers were so happy about the news, about their relationship. Yet, some were confused because they knew that she was not Caide's real girlfriend. Many people were still asking about what happened to Caide and Celestine.
"That's not true." Celestine said it with low, serious tone.
Caide couldn't do this to her. She still had hope about him getting his memories back.
Meanwhile, she wanted to cry but she bit her lips just to prevent herself from crying.
How come they were already in a relationship? I just disappeared for only 2 weeks and now they were already together? I never knew about this news because I have to study. I have to focus so I can prove to Caide about our promises. I only used my phone for some important things. Besides, I don't have time to stalk to anyone, specially Elise and Caide's social media accounts. But how come? Elise was lying, definitely. Celestine thought.
"Then, what is next? Engagement? Come on Elise, you're a liar. You know, you should go to church to repent for your sins". Celestine replied without showing pain in front of them.
"Uhhh excuse me? You should be the one who need to go to church about what you did to Caide. Besides, he is already my boyfriend. "My boyfriend". So, from now on, stop bothering us, especially Caide, or else, I will do everything just to ruin your good image, even your reputation in this school". Elise replied. She warned Celestine about attempting to bother them.
"Caide, is that true? That this bullshit woman was already your girlfriend?", then Celestine cried. Caide couldn't respond to her question because he hates seeing woman crying.
"Please, tell me Caide, this is not true. Don't hurt me. You know, hearing about you and Elise already killed my existence".
Celestine remembered something about Caide told about her before. That whenever he couldn't respond to her questions, the answer was yes.
The news almost wrecks her heart. She is going to breakdown.
"It is true... Celestine." Caide said in a cold tone. Celestine cried in front of them while Caide felt guilty about her. Elise grinned while seeing Celestine crying about the biggest, heartbreaking revelation.
It is painful and disappointing. How come Caide did not wait for her?
"(crying, then wiped her tears) okay, so.. (sighed) all this time I waited for nothing?" Celestine tears once again rolled down through her cheeks.
"Come on, Celestine! For goodness sake, from the moment Caide got into an accident, there is nothing left for you to wait, even the love you are still hoping for". Elise said with a smirk.
Celestine clench her fist. What will she do now? She already lost everything. And now Caide for real?
"(nodded) I know I still have hope (she stared at Caide). Time will come for Caide to gain his memories. And definitely... (she stared at Elise) he will throw you aside. He will curse you for all your sinister plans" Celestine swore and it made Elise mad.
"Then fine. To end all of these bullshits, let's break up. (Celestine was shocked). To be honest, I saw you in my dreams last night that I am giving you flowers. But you know what? I felt nothing but disgust" Caide said truthfully that made Celestine shattered her hearts to pieces.
In fact, he always dreamt about Celestine but kept ignoring it, until he felt disgusted about her existence since then.
Those words hit Celestine's heart. It was more like a slap to her face. Breaking up? He didn't even asked or thought about her feelings. He was even disgusted at her.
"Okay, as you wish (then gave a salute to both of them). Let's break up and choose that scumbag, trash woman", said Celestine without even thinking.
"How dare you!" Elise was going to slap her.
Celestine dared not to avoid Elise. Her slap was nothing compared to what her lover said. She looked at her enemy and waited for her palm to slap her cheek, but it didn't land.
Both Elise and Caide saw a man's hand caught Elise's wrist, but Celestine did not bother to look around to see the person beside her. Then, Celestine talked.
"Caide, this time I'll forget you. I will forget about you, about your life, about our promises... (cries) I will find a better man. A man that will neither forget nor hurt me. A man with a heart that will never forget who he truly loves even if he cannot recognize me with his memories, but his heart can". Celestine once again swore. She said it while crying. She was in pain.
She wiped her tears and looked at the man beside her. For a second, she froze when she saw the facial features of the man. He's a groomed man with good looking.
Celestine thought that the man beside her received a lot of blessings from the heaven.
"Are you Celestine?" the man asked and let go of Elise.
"Yes, why are you asking?"
Somehow, Celestine felt the deep and manly voice seemed so familiar, but she didn't know when and where did she heard it.
"My sister informed me about you", said him while looking at her, forgetting about Caide and Elise not around.
Celestine remember Xavia asked her to wait for her and his brother at the parking lot.
"Oh, you must be her brother. And by the way, she asked me to go here and wait for her since she went to the comfort room"
"As much as I want to interfere with you all, but my sister is already coming here. Would you mind if I ask you to come with me right now and go inside my car?". The man said it with a serious tone. Celestine felt so embarrassed.
So, all this time, this man saw the whole drama of 3 of them?
"No, don't be. I'm sorry. Umm.. let's go, Xavia's brother". Celestine smiled awkwardly. Elise frowned.
"Hey, I'm not done with you yet!". Elise was about to pull Celestine's hair, but the man prevented that to happen by holding her arms.
"Stop this already, worthless lady!", then the man let go. Celestine was surprised about the unexpected help from him again.
"Stop Elise, please. Come on, let's go to the restaurant we used to go and we will celebrate", then they started to leave, leaving both Celestine and the man.
"Thank you", said Celestine.
"No problem. I hate that woman", then he shook his head.
"Same feeling, though". She said while looking at Caide and Elise to go inside of the car.
"Let's go?" The man looked at her before she nodded and walked first. The man opened the back door for Celestine and they went inside and did not bother to look at Elise and Caide.
She's already decided.
While tears slowly rolling down again to her face, she made a promise to herself. A promise that she would never know about how long will the pain fades away before she completely moving on.
She will forget Caide.rom now on.
