Chapter 36Doctor Tiki arrived at Asian Zone Prison 20 late in the evening, the beam from her car headlight illuminating a high concrete wall topped with broken glass. A camera flashed as she pulled up in front of unguarded metal gates, making her eyes water in spite of the tinted windscreen. After a few minutes, the rusting gates creaked open revealing stark concrete block buildings arranged in a square and surrounded by bare red dirt. As she proceeded up a narrow graded path towards the illuminated entrance, the searchlights mounted on each corner merged to form a wide beam that tracked her progress. Signage indicated parking places to the right, so Tiki turned slowly to avoid skidding and stopped facing the building.
