Crossing Paths Again

Chapter 2

Ethan's POV

I guess this is my lucky day.

The cute girl I saw in the park yesterday is in front of me, looking around, probably finding her classroom. I am now in grade 10, and I do not remember seeing her last year. 

I am thinking if I should approach her or not, I turn my back to her and think about what I will say. I do not want to look stupid. 'Hi. I am Ethan.' Lame. 'What is your name miss?' Freaky.

I groan in frustration... She is new here, hmm...

After a minute of thinking. I can feel a "ting" sound in my head, I have found the words that I will say. Well then let's see your luck Ethan!

I fixed the placket and the hem of my polo before facing her back. I tap my shoes twice on the floor before talking.

"Are you looking for something miss?" I said and flashed a smile that captivates people. I asked her that so we can have a longer conversation and spend more time. She then smiled back at me! 

"I am looking for this room." She said, handing me the paper in her hand. Jeez, so straight forward.I gazed at it, Room 0251. I know this room, Ms. Margi is the teacher there- the one who caught me smoking in the garden. I smiled at her. Showing her that I know where this room is. 

"So you are new here?" I asked without breaking our eye contact. 

"Yes." She said and looked around. But I just stared at her, examining her lovely features. Red small lips, long straight black hair, and round violet eyes. She is indeed cute and pretty. She attracted my eyes from the first time I saw her...

She looked at me again but this time with a questioning look. 

"What is it? Is there a problem?" She asked. No miss there is no problem. I can not look away. She probably thinks I am a weirdo. 

"N-No there isn't." I answered. What should I say next? Sweats are forming in my forehead. 

After my long silence. I speak for her to not feel uncomfortable. "I know where this room is, follow me." 

I turned around, leading her to her classroom. I did not notice I was holding my breath for so long while staring at her. Now I can not see her, my breathing becomes normal again. She hoped to my side but I couldn't see her. I can only hear her heels clicking on the floor.

Across the long main hallway I saw my friends talking loudly. They are so loud, making others look their way. They can really disturb people wherever they go. 

And oh Alexis spotted me, I bet he will shout. His small brown eyes became big and wide.

"Ethan? Ethan!" He shouted. The people who know me looked at my way, even my friends. They are making loud noises early in the morning! This is embarrassing... 

With shocked eyes my friends ran onto me. Well beside Alexus and Nathan, I am sure they are embarrassed as I am. They just walked faster to catch up. My three other friends on the other side are running, making loud noises on the ground- stomping their feet. The girls were the first ones who hugged me and they all followed. At the side of my vision I saw her- the cute girl, stepping aside. My friends welcomed me with smiles. Even Nathan and Alexus. 

After the greetings and drama with my friends as well as the questioning about Andrea. Andrea, even her name sounds cute. They decided to come with us.

We are now walking faster, I did not notice the time. The bell rang and many students went to their rooms. But some new students are still finding their classrooms. This school has pretty strict teachers. 

We are now here in front of Andrea's classroom, when I turned to her she was just staring in nowhere- hand near her chest. What happened? I opened my mouth ready to ask, but Ginia pulled my arm a little and shook her head. Disagreeing. I shut my mouth.

"Andrea, this is your classroom." Lucky said. She smiled and gently pulled Andrea's arms. Andrea looked shocked and looked at us. She then genuinely smiled at us.

"Thanks for leading me the way here..." She still doesn't know their names! I forgot to introduce them. She looked at me then looked at my friends then back at me, as if she was demanding me for names.

I smirked "Let's skip the introduction for now, the bell already rang. Ms. Margi probably is on her way here. Go in now cutie." She stared at me with a weird smile, she nodded and smiled weirdly again. My smirk did not fade.

"Okay then" She stared at my friends one after another. Her eyes stopped to Ginia and Lucky

"I hope we can interact more. I hope we can be friends." She said directly to Ginia and Lucky. What about me? Don't you want me to be your friend? 

"Of course!" Ginia and Lucky said simultaneously. Andrea waved at us before turning her back at us.

The girls waited a minute more in the front of Andrea's classroom. I gazed at the boys, Alexis teasing his annoyed brother. Alexus is reading a book while his brother is teasing him. I laughed, causing Nathan to glance at me, taking his eyes off his phone. 

"Who's your texting dude? Alisha? Fate? Bianca? I have a long list here." I said and pretended I was getting something from my pocket. 

"The hell dude?" He laughed and departed to his classroom. 

"Ethan we need to go now. Our teacher will definitely make a fuss if we are late." Alexus said and walked away. Lucky followed him first, Ginia and Alexis followed. They are all from the same class, me and Nathan are the ones who are from different classes. I walked to my classroom, there were only a few people left in the hallways. As I passed through them.
