Chapter 7

Adairia’s POV

One Month Later…

It’s been a whole month and I still haven’t found a building for my fashion business. I can’t just choose any random place because I don’t want my business in a bad neighborhood. I want it in a good or decent neighborhood where people feel safe coming to shop and that we don’t have to worry about somebody coming in to rob us. My twin sister Alli and I decided to go into fashion together. We owned enough clothes, why not sell them. Alli has a degree in fashion and business and I just have a degree in business. Alli, Tamala, and I did a few fashion shows while away at college. I loved being the model and designer during the fashion shows so that’s why I picked this business to go into. I was browsing on the internet on my laptop when my phone rang, it was my older brother Julian “Hey big brother!” I said cheerfully. Julian and I have a great relationship. I use to always want to follow him around when I was younger.

“What’s up Dairia? What you up to?” my brother said in his baritone voice.

“Just stressing about finding a good location for our fashion shop. I can’t find what I like.”

“Well stop stressing little bit you will find what you looking for.” I love my brother so much he always encouraged me in anything that I wanted to do. Out of all of our siblings I was the one that always was stressing and worrying while everybody else sat back and went with the flow. “I was calling to see if you wanted to go to lunch with your big brother. Do you think you can make some time for your eldest brother?”

“Of course I can make time for you Julian. What time do you want to go?”

“How about in an hour and call Tamala big headed ass and ask her to come too. I’m going to call Alli and invite her too. And stop by mommas and pick up Pearlina and Westlyn as well.”

“Are you going to invite Ewan and Amar as well?”

“Yea I guess I invite Ewan. If he isn’t tied up with some chick, you know how he is. And yea I’ll hit up Amar you know he been really busy with his dealership business. I know he can definitely use a break.”

“Alright I see you in an hour, bye.” I said hanging up the phone. It been a long time since my siblings and I have all hung out together, this should be fun. I tried calling Tamala twice and she didn’t answer, she finally answered on the third call. “Hello?” she said kind of out of breath.

“What the hell were you doing Tam? I called you twice already and now you sounding like you were running a damn marathon.”

“My bad I was busy, what’s up?”

“Julian calling all the siblings together for a lunch date and he wants to know if you want to go.”

“Aww that so sweet he included me, I feel so special.” She said with pretend tears.

“Girl shut up, you know he thinks of you as a sister, now go get ready I’ll be by in an hour to get you.”

“Yes ma’am, bye chica.”

I closed my laptop and went into my closet to see what I was going to wear today. I decided on rip blue jeans and red crop top. I was in the middle of doing my hair when my phone rang again; I answered it with out looking at caller ID, “Hello.” I said after putting the phone on speaker so I can finish my hair.

“Hey twin, what you doing?” I hear Alli’s cheerful voice say through the phone.

“Hey twin, I’m just doing my hair and make up. What you up to?”

“Nothing bout to get ready, can I ride with you to this lunch date, I don’t want to drive my own car.”

“You sure can, I got to pick up Tammy too so I’ll pick you up after I get her because you know she takes forever to get ready.”

“Alright see you soon, bye.”

I hung up with my sister to finish getting ready; I still had 45 minutes before I had to leave the house.

Tamala’s POV

I heard my phone ring twice and I knew that it was Adairia calling because “Best Friend” by Saweetie started playing but I was in the middle of something or should I say someone. When I heard it ringing for the third time I knew I better get it before she showed up at my house. I untangled myself from his arms and he was not happy at all, I kissed his lips and ran to the other side of the room to get to the phone before she hung up, “Hello.” I said out of breathe. I started laughing when she begun fussing at me for not answering the phone the first two times. Adairia and I been friends since we were 4 years old and met in preschool, we are inseparable, she always been like a sister to me. “I’ll be by to pick you up in an hour, bye.” She said after telling me that her eldest brother Julian has wanted all the siblings to get together for a lunch date. I really did feel special that he included me into their little gathering.

I walked back over to the bed and jump on him, “Hey babe, you got to get up and go. Dairia will be here to pick me up in an hour.”

“Why? Where y’all going?”

“Julian calling all the siblings out for a lunch date and invited me too.”

“Well let me check my phone too maybe he called or text me too.” I handed him his phone off the nightstand and tried to get up off him but he kept his hands around my waist to keep me there. “Babe I got to get up and get ready you know how Adairia is when I’m late.” I said whining a little.

“No I like you where you’re at.” He said while squeezing my ass. I squealed when he did that. I can’t express how much I love this man, I been in love with him ever since I was in high school. When he walks into a room nothing else exist expect for him.

Our relationship is complicated, we started to mess around when I was 14 and he was 16. I know it was bad but I couldn’t help myself. He tried his best to stay away from me but I kept pressuring him. We broke up for a little while and got back together when I turned 18.

Flashback

I woke up around 2 in the morning to go to the bathroom and to get something to drink. I was spending the night over at Adairia’s house for our weekly sleepovers. We either spend the night at my house or her house, this week it was hers. After using the restroom I went into the kitchen to get me a glass of water, I was startled when I saw a shadow sitting at the table. “Geez Amar you scared me to death.” I said holding my hand to my chest and dropping my water. “My bad Tam I didn’t mean to scare you.” He said laughing. I went to turn the light on for I can find a rag to clean up this water I spilled. “I’ll get it up Tam don’t worry about it.”

“No I got it.”

After cleaning up the water I walked back over to the sink and rinsed out my glass and got me some more water from the fridge. “Why you up anyways Amar?” I asked him like I had every right to know.

“I just got home.” He said like it wasn’t freaking 2 in the morning, my parents would have killed me if I just came walking in the house at this ungodly hour. My eyes widen, “At 2 in the morning you just now getting home.” He nodded his head, “What are you doing up Tammy?”

“I had to use the restroom and I was thirsty.” I said looking down at the floor. I finished drinking my water and put it back in the sink. “I see you later Amar, I’m going back to bed, goodnight.” He grabbed me by my arm to stop me from leaving, “Why you in a rush? Do I make you nervous?” I shook my head no. “Come to my room and chill with me for a little bit, we can watch a movie.” I was hesitant about being alone with him in his room by myself my parents and brothers will kill me if they knew I was alone with a boy but I liked Amar he had this bad boy edge to him that I loved so much. He was tall, stood about 6’6 compare to my 5’3 frame with beautiful chocolate skin that you want to lick on a hot summer day, he had beautiful blue eyes that I can daydream into everyday of the week with long dreadlocks and tattoos all over his body. I finally gave in and told him that I’ll go to his room with him. In his room he put on one of the fast and furious movies, those are my favorite movies. I love a good action movie. “So tell me about yourself Tamala?” He asked. I looked at him a little confused and a taken back by that question, what could he possibly want to know about a 14 year old, so I asked him, “I’m 14 years old what could you possibly want to know about me?”

“Anything you would like to tell me.”

“There’s nothing to tell, I’m just an ordinary teenage girl nothing special.”

“No don’t say that Tam there is something very special about you.”

“Like what?”

“You’re beautiful, smart, a great friend. I see how much Adairia and Alli means to you. You 3 have a great friendship. You don’t let anybody mess with them and they don’t let anybody mess with you. I’m glad that y’all have a friendship that is so solid.”

That night I found out a lot about Amar. He was so sweet and kind one minute and in the next second he can be so hood and thuggish. We talked about anything and everything. One thing led to another and I ended up giving him my virginity that night. Nobody knew about us accept for my mom because I ended up pregnant from only having s*x one time. You know what they say it only takes one time. We were going to wait after my first trimester to tell people I was pregnant but going into my 3rd month I suffered a miscarriage.

End Flashback.

Until this day nobody still doesn’t know about us. We been off and on for a while now, I haven’t dated or had s*x with anybody else but him. I was bought back to reality when he rolled me over and started kissing me along my jaw line, “Umm Amar stop baby I have to go get ready and so do you.” I said while moaning.

“They can wait baby I need to taste you again.” He said while kissing down my body. He was playing with my n*****s while making his way down to my treasure box; it’s a good thing I decided to get her waxed. He pulled me closer to the edge of the bed and got down on his knees and buried his face between my legs ‘Ugh s**t baby that feels good.” He continues to lick and suck like his life depended on it. He put 2 fingers in me and started fingering me hard, I was moaning so loud the neighbors probably can hear me but I didn’t care his head game was on point. When he put that third finger in me I lost control, “That’s right baby c*m, c*m for me baby.”

“c*m, give me all that s**t,” and I did, I squirted all in his mouth and on his face and he loved every bit of it. He slurped up the last bit of my juices and got up off the floor, he leaned over and kissed me passionately, I could taste myself and damn I tasted good.

“Babe I need to go get ready.” I said between kisses. “Go get ready in the guest room and I’ll get ready in here. Leave 10 minutes before she gets here.”

“Why can’t we just show up together Tam?”

“Because nobody knows about us Amar, that’s why.”

“Well let’s tell them about us I’m tired of sneaking around. s**t we grown we shouldn’t have to sneak around.” He said annoyed I knew he was pissed about the arrangement that I set up for us but I just didn’t want anyone in our business. “We been through this Amar I’m not ready for everybody to know about us yet.”

“Why Tam? Are you ashamed of me or something?” he said with a hurt expression on his face.

“NO, of course not. How can you think that?”

“Well what am I suppose to think Tamala? We been on and off since you were 14, that’s 8 years now. We had been together for f*****g 8 years Tamala and nobody knows about us. Your mom only knew about us back then because we got pregnant and then we had a miscarriage. If that never happened she wouldn’t have known either. Or maybe it’s because I was 20 and you was 14 when we started messing around. You don’t want to tell them the truth, do you?” I went over to him and wrapped my arms around his waist, “please continue to be more patient with me, I don’t want everybody in our business. I just want you all to myself I promise we will tell them soon. And I don’t care about people finding out that we started messing around when I was 14, we don’t even have to tell them that part. All that matters are that we got back together when I was 18 and this has been the best 4 years of my life with you.” He bent down and kissed me, “you know I will do anything for you Tam and just to let you know, Milo is already suspicious of us.”

“Why you say that?”

“Because he asked me about it a while back after the BBQ party we had for y’all when y’all can back home from college.”

“Why would he be suspicious? We didn’t do anything that day to make anybody suspicious.”

“He said it was the way I was holding you when you tried to attack Iris the first time before she tried to slap Adairia.”

“Well what did you tell him?”

“I told him that I did have feelings for you but I will never act on it.” I shook my head at him. “Come on lets go get ready we don’t have much time.” I said walking into my bathroom suite. I took a quick shower and got dressed in 20 minutes which was a record for me because I take a long time to get ready. I was doing my hair and makeup when Amar walked into the bathroom wearing black jeans and a white v-neck shirt showing off his chest tattoos. “I’m bout to leave baby, I’ll see you later” he said and kissed my cheek, I just nodded my head. “I love you Tam.”

“I love you too Amar.” He gave me that sexy smile I love so much with his pearly white teeth. He kissed me on the lips and walked out the door without looking back. Fifteen minutes later Adairia was here to pick me up; I opened the door “you’re late” I said with a fake attitude.

“Yeah, I know traffic was a b***h coming here. There were about 3 car accidents on the freeway. I swear people can’t drive here.”

“Mhmm whatever tell me anything.”

“Whatever chick, are you ready?”

“Yes ma’am I am.” I said. I grabbed my purse and we were on our way out the door.
