Chapter 6

Iris POV

It has been a few weeks since the big fight that Milo and I had. After we talked outside we went into his parents’ house and I gave a fake ass apology just for them to let me stay there because Milo wasn’t going to allow me to drive back home drunk. That b***h sister of his Tamala didn’t want me to stay though, she try to get everybody to have me leave, she even cussed out Milo for still being with me after the way I came in there and acted but I didn’t care. Now I know she has to be the first on my list to get out of Milo’s life.

I was so mad when I saw that Adairia chick holding my son, I was about to slap her when she started running off at her mouth telling me she wasn’t going to give me my son because I was drunk, like who do she think she is, he is MY son not hers but Tamala jump on me like a wild animal and started beating me up, she almost killed me and had the audacity to tell me she would have taken great pleasure in doing so. I know I have to get rid of her first because she is going to be a big problem in my plans.

I was sitting in the kitchen looking through soon cook books trying to figure out what I’m going to cook my family for dinner, I wanted to try out a new recipe, when the phone rang, it was LaToya calling. “Hey LaToya what’s up?”

“Hey chick, what you up to?”

“Nothing just looking through soon cook book. I want to try out a new recipe for Milo.”

“What you doing tonight Iris?”

“Nothing staying in the house bout to try out these new recipes.” I said a little annoyed because I knew that she’s going to want me to go out with her and her friends tonight and I’m not trying to do anything that will piss Milo off, we just got back on good terms and I’m not trying to f**k that up right now.

“You want to come out with us tonight?” LaToya asked.

“No, I’m going to stay in and chill with my family tonight”

“Ugh! Aww come on Iris just come out with us tonight it will be fun and you can hookup with Corey again.”

“Naw I’m good LaToya, I’m going to stay in tonight y’all go and have fun.”

“Come on Iris, why aren’t you coming out? What’s the real reason?”

“Because Milo and I been on good terms lately and I’m not trying to do nothing to f**k that up right now. Y’all go have fun I will talk to y’all later.” I said and hung up on her before she could say anything else.

After hanging up on LaToya I started looking through the cook book some more and came across a good recipe for chicken parmesan with noodles. I called Milo at the office to see what he thinks about that for dinner, his secretary Brenda answered, “Hello, thank you for calling West and Jones Architect and Design Company, this is Brenda speaking, how may I help you today?” she said cheerfully.

“Hey Mrs. Brenda, how are you, this is Iris.” I said sweetly. I got to pretend and be fake and act like I really care when I don’t just to get what I want from Milo because he is my meal ticket to getting everything that I want.

“Hey Iris I’m doing fine, how are you?”

“I’m fine. Is Milo busy right now?”

“Let me check, please hold.” She said. A few seconds later she came back to the phone, “He just now finishing up his meeting, I’m about to transfer you over now.”

A few seconds later Milo came on the phone, “Hey baby what’s up?” he said. I couldn’t help but smile when he said that. I love when Milo calls me baby. I know it seems like I don’t care or that I don’t love Milo but honestly I do. I been in love with Milo since the first time I met him. Milo started his business a few years before we met. When I found out he had his own business that sealed the deal for me because I knew I didn’t have to want for anything. I knew that I had to trap him some way just to make sure that he didn’t go anywhere that’s why I got pregnant with Kenny on purpose and I plan on doing it again.

He knew that I got pregnant with Kenny on purpose because we always used protection when we have s*x. He was furious at first but he got over that quickly and loves our son to death. “Hey babe I was calling to see how do you feel about chicken parmesan with noodles for dinner tonight? I found a great recipe for it in one of my cook books.”

“That sounds good Iris; I don’t mind trying something new tonight.”

“Good I’m excited to try this out. What time will you be home?”

“I’ll probably leave here at 4:30pm and go get Kenny from daycare and then we will be on our way home.”

“OK, cool. I’m bout to run out and go get the stuff that I need. I’ll see you when you get home.”

“OK. Drive safely baby, I love you.”

“I love you too Milo.”

When I hung up the phone with Milo, I grabbed my purse and left the house to head to Wal-Mart to get the stuff I need for dinner.

Milo’s POV

It’s been a few weeks since that whole mess with Iris acting a fool at my parents’ house. Honestly I really was done with her. I didn’t want anything else to do with her but my Pops was right, I can’t make a decision like that based on anger because I did have my son to think about. I know I can raise Kenny on my own there’s no question about that and I have a great support system that will help out if I needed it but Kenny also loved his mother just as much as he loved me so I had to take his feelings into consideration as well, plus both of us been drinking that night and I don’t think neither one of us was in the right head space at that time.

After talking to Iris outside we went back into the house because I wasn’t going to allow her to drive home drunk but I did make her apologize to my family for the way she acted. She didn’t want to at first but she finally gave in because she knew they wasn’t going to allow her to stay there if she didn’t but I knew that apology was fake as a 3 dollar bill.

Everybody agreed that she can stay because they wanted her to be safe but my sister Tamala was not having it at all, she tried to attack her again when we came in the house but Amar was holding her down. That reminds me I still need to talk to him about if he has a thing for my baby sister. But anyways Tamala was not letting up on Iris at all she even cussed me out for still being with her after the way she came in there disrespecting my family.

Ever since that day Iris did change her attitude a little bit and was trying to be nicer to my family and friends, she even let Kenny have a play date with Brenda’s kids over the weekend.

It was the middle of the afternoon when Iris called me at the office asking if I would like to try her new recipe, at first I was a little suspicions because a lot of her new recipes didn’t turn out good but I decided to give it a try.

I looked at the clock on the wall and seen that it was 2:30pm, I got done with my meetings and paperwork early. I decided to leave work early because I was done with everything so I’m going to surprise Iris before going to go get our son from daycare.

I walked out of my office and stopped at Mrs. Brenda’s desk, “Hey Mrs. Brenda, I got finished with everything early so I’m going to head out now. Here is some paperwork that Ash needs to look over, can you take it to his office for me and tell him to put it back on my desk when he is done please.”

“I sure can Mr. West you enjoy the rest of your day and be safe out there.”

“What did I tell you about calling me Mr. West, you can call me Milo, you are more than my secretary, you are my friend, my family so stop with the Mr. West stuff.” I said laughing.

“I’ll start calling you Milo when you’ll start calling me Brenda instead of “Mrs. Brenda”. Stop being formal with me and I’ll stop being formal with you.” She said with a stern look on her face.

“Yes ma’am, I only was formal with you because you’re older than me, I was showing respect Brenda.”

“I’m only 35; I’m that much older than you Milo so stop it please.”

“OK, OK. No more formality with us.”

“Got it, enjoy your day; I will get these over to Mr. Jones in just a minute.”

“Thank you! You enjoy the rest of your day too and don’t stay here to long.” I said walking to the elevator. I made it down to the first floor and went outside to this crazy hot heat. It’s a good thing I am able to start my car from my office or my car would’ve been hot as hell. I got into my car and the AC hit me immediately, it felt amazing. I texts Iris to make she was at home for I can surprise her.

Me: Hey Baby what are you doing?

Baby Girl: Nothing just watching some TV show, about to take a nap in a few.

Me: OK baby just checking on you, I’ll be home shortly. I love you.”

Baby Girl: I love you too.

I pulled out of my parking space and drove to the florist shop to pick up a dozen of purple roses for Iris. I still had a couple of hours left before I had to go get Kenny from daycare. A few minutes later I walked into to the florist shop, “Hi, welcome to Joney’s Flower Shop, what can I get for you today?” the older lady said from behind the counter.

“Yes I need a dozen of purple roses please.”

“Let me show you these beautiful arrangements that I just did this morning.”

I followed her over to where she had the purple roses, they looked so beautiful. The roses were mixed with dark and light purple in it with a hint of glitter. “I’ll take them.” I said to the florist.

“Would you like a pretty vase for them to go in?”

“Yes please, that will be nice. Can you please show me where your vases are?”

“Sure, right this way.”

I followed her over to the vases and there was so much to choose from. I decided on a vase that was an ombre color of dark purple at the bottom and clear at the top. “I’ll take this one please.” I said to the florist. “You picked a beautiful one. This is actually our best seller. Would you like to add a personal note?”

“Yes please.”

“Follow me to the counter and I will show you what we have.”

I followed her to the counter and picked out a cute love card and wrote a personal message.

Dear Iris,

I want to start off by saying thank you for having my son. He is the greatest gift you ever gave me. I loved you from the first moment we met, we might fight and argue but I loved you even through those times.

Kiss you, think about you, hug you, drool over you, miss you, dream about you, these are the things I can do anytime, anywhere and all day long. I love you.

“Is there anything else I can get for you.” the lady asked.

“Yes, there is. Do you have a bag of purple rose petals?”

“We do, let me go grab them for you.”

A few seconds later she returns with the bags and hand them to me to look at. “I’ll take 2 bags, thank you.”

“Will that be all?” I nodded my head yes.

Your total with be $80.59 please.”

I gave her a 100 dollar bill and told her to keep the change and left the store. After leaving the store I headed over to her favorite store “Victoria Secret” to get her favorite smell good. After leaving “Vickey Secret” I head over to the chocolate store to get her a box of chocolate and chocolate cover strawberries. After getting all of the gifts now I am headed home.

Thirty minutes later I pull into my driveway and got out of the car, I walked into the house and it was pretty quit, maybe she went to take her nap already, I thought to myself. I walked through the house looking for her; I didn’t want to call out her name because I wanted her to be surprised when she sees me. I finally made it into our room where I see her laid out on the bed with the covers kicked off of her. I sat the flowers on the nightstand on her side of the bed with the boxes of chocolate and went into the master bathroom suite; I started to run her a hot bubble bath in the Jacuzzi tub with her favorite fragrance from “Vickey Secret” and I put the bag of rose petals in there. I went back into the room and kissed her on her forehead and cheeks until she started to wake up. She finally opened her eyes and gave me a big smile, “Hi, you’re home early Milo.”

“I know, I got done with my work early and decided to surprise you before going to pick up Kenny from daycare.” She grinned like a kid in the candy store when I said that. It has been a long time since we have done stuff together just the 2 of us. I honestly missed doing stuff with Iris because she wasn’t like this when we first met, she was my other half, my best friend, and we laughed, joked and played around together. I loved our relationship hopefully we can get back to that.

She jumped out of bed and jumped right into my arms laughing. “I’m guessing you are excited baby.” I said laughing right along with her.

“Yes I’m super excited it has been forever since we had alone time.”

“Yes I know that’s why I wanted to surprise you; I also got you some gifts too.” She jumped up and down excited like a child, “Gifts for me, you shouldn’t have.”

“Well I did it was last minute so its not much.”

“That’s ok; it’s the thought that counts.” I showed her the flowers first, she absolutely loved them, “Aw baby they are so beautiful thank you Milo. They smell so good and fresh too.”

“Come to the bathroom I have another surprise for you.” She followed me to the bathroom where I had a nice bubble bath going with candles lit around it. When we got to the bathroom she screamed so loud I thought my eardrums was going to bust. “Milo this is so sweet, you did all of this for me.” She said with so much emotion in her voice. I never seen her get so emotional, I didn’t know if it was an act or was she just really happy that I did this for her, don’t get me wrong I always did nice stuff for Iris in the 5 years that we been together but I just haven’t done it recently, maybe she just missed it as much as I have.

“I sure did and here’s your other gift” I said handing her the gift bag from “Vickey Secret”.

“Aw you got my favorite smell good. Thank you so much Milo.”

“You’re welcome baby; now get into the tub before your water gets cold.”

“Are you going to get in with me?” she said with puppy dog eyes.

“That was my plan, unless you want to take a bath by yourself.”

“No I would love for you to join me.”

I started to remove her clothes first and then mines. I got into the tub behind her and start massaging her shoulders. We sat in the tub talking and laughing about everything like old times. I kissed her on her shoulder, she tilted her neck for me to kiss and suck on it and when she started moaning I lost it. I picked her up in the air and put her sweet p***y in my face and ate her until her legs were shaking and until she was almost out of breath. I carried her into the room and made sweet love to my baby until we both was exhausted.
