A cold shiver ran through my entire body just as Lilith drew her finger away from my face. An unexplained terror sang in my veins. Cold sweat beaded across my forehead and back, but I fought to keep myself together. Swallowing hard, I stared right into Lilith’s green eyes. “You have something that is not yours,” I said through my teeth. “And we intend to take it from you.” Lilith smiled. For some reason, her grin looked poisonous. She raised the hand holding the dull helm as she took one step back. “Oh,” she remarked. Under the darkness of the valley, the Angel’s head gear looked more black than gray. “You mean this? Raphael’s Helm…” I raised the sword and pointed its tip toward her. The sword’s golden light blazed further. “Hand it over, Lilith, and we will spare you and your legion.”
