We were lucky that there was ground to stand on on the side of the cliff. Otherwise, we would be clinging onto to the rocks, holding on for dear life as we tried to seal the rift closed. I was staring at the fissure, mesmerized by its darkness. It was like a dark hole in the fabric of reality, a hole that I thought led to the depths of Hell itself. It was thrilling, exhilarating, but also terrifying, knowing that there were untold horrors beyond. Then, it's not a real fissure, is it? I asked myself.
