Chapter 11: Dinner party!

When I was out of my shower I dried off and pulled on the black padded bra and matching boy-shorts under wear before pulling on a pair of blue jean shorts and a large white muscle shirt with blue stripes that belonged to Thomas. I pulled my hair up into a messy bun and showed off the hickey that Thomas had left on my marking spot with pride. I pulled on a pair of dino no-shows and grey boat shoes. I grabbed my phone and shoved it in my back pocket and and went outside to find Logan and the car were gone. I went into the garage where my baby was waiting, my dad had taught me how to drive when I was 8. He bought me my first car when I was only 11. I ran my hand over the midnight blue paint on his door, I opened it up and sat in the drivers seat, the keys were on the radio. My 2004 Porsche 911 GT3 was the first thing I had ever really wanted from my parents. My dad saw the way I looked at him at the auction and bought it. Luckily for us, the academy really likes Alphas to be independent so I was able to get my licence after I turned 16. 

I turned the car on and backed him out of the garage cautiously before hitting the remote on my sun visor and closing the garage door. I backed into the circle and turned him around and drove to the pack house around 5 minutes away, 2 by wolf. I pulled up to the large white mansion styled house and pulled my car up to the garage door and parked him before turning him off. I got out and walked to the training field where my pack was waiting, the pack I hadn't seen for over 5 years. I saw my parents and walked the other way before running into a flesh wall. 

"Maya! Welcome home!" A deep voice said before picking me up and swinging me around. I growled and was put down, I looked up and saw a shy looking Liam. "Sorry I got excited." He said looking at the ground. 

"It's all good." I said, he smiled and then frowned when he saw my hickey. 

"I see you've been having some fun." He growled somewhat possessively. 

"My mate and I have found ways to enjoy each other without having sex." I said ignoring his tone. 

"Your mate? You're only 17 Maya, you wont be able to identify your mate for another month." He said in disbelief. 

"Actually I discovered he was my mate when I turned 15, my wolf and his really only like one another." I said. Although Nyx actually had become pals with Raider's wolf along with Christian and Xavier's wolves, no way I was telling Liam that.

"You have an anti-social wolf?" He said with a smirk. 

"Not anti-social, she's just a bit picky on the company she keeps." I said with a shrug.

"So....has your mate chosen a beta and gamma yet?" He asked shyly.

"Not that I'm aware of, but I highly doubt he would choose anyone from this pack." I said, I wasn't going to sugar coat it.

"Ahhh...It was good talking to you Maya, but your dad is headed this way, and he doesn't look happy." I turned just in time to see my dad's face before he pulled me into a tight hug. 

"Hi baby girl." He said holding me close to him and burying his face in my neck. I pushed myself out of his embrace and crossed my arms glaring at him. "Maya, don't look at me like that." He whined. 

"Last time I saw you, you tried to drive a wedge between Tommy and I. Am I supposed to forget about that?" I growled. 

"A lot has changed since then Maya." He said sighing. "Did I ever tell you that your mother and I aren't mates?" I shook my head my eyes going wide. "Well we were young and things happened, we were high school sweet hearts and your mother ended up getting pregnant." He said with a sigh. "Neither of us had found our mates, until your mother met hers after she gave birth to Lenny. He gave her a choice, either you kids or him. She chose our family and rejected him, we got married and I made her the Luna."

"You didn't wait for your mate? And yet you were pissed at the thought of me running this pack with Thomas instead of "My Mate." who happens to be Tommy. You're still a hypocrite." I growled. He sighed in defeat and nodded. 

"I know I am Maya, but let me finish. Anyway a few years ago a two rouges were found running through our territory as Luna Sherry kicked rouges out of no mans land and began taking it for her pack. Those two rouges were a mother and her young daughter, they were running from her psychotic alpha brother and his beta who is the father of her pup. It was discovered that she was my mate, it was difficult but I resisted the pull and made her an omega. I couldn't take her when your mother rejected her mate for us, but with her here Felix was going insane, he ended up going to her and her wolf Gemini one night and they mated. I took my anger out on her and she ran off with her pup. Your mother was pissed and moved out, she ended up finding her second chance mate, Alpha Santiago. He is here with his son, his wife and first mate died seven years ago during a rouge attack. I found Rosalinda and her daughter and apologized and they are here as well."

"This explains why you were a hypocrite how?..." I asked rudely. 

"I wanted you to wait for your mate because I didn't want Thomas to find his mate and break you as I hurt your mother. We may not be mates but she gave me you and Len and I will always love her." 

"As you already know, I'm not you or mom. Tommy and I are waiting until I turn 18 to fully mate, unlike you we plan on being 100% sure we're mates before the fun begins." I said turning away from him. "I love you dad, but I can't forgive you for all the damage you've done to Tommy." 

I left him there and mingled with the rest of my pack until a familiar (not in the good way) high pitched giggle came from behind me. 

"Well well well, looks like Tommy finally dumped your lame ass and sent you home." Dylan sneered as I turned to face her. Nyx jumped to the surface and punched her square in the gaping hole that is her mouth, I stood over her with my foot on her chest snarling. 

"If you ever call My Mate Tommy again I will rip your head off bitch." Nyx hissed. Dylan began to whimper and pry my foot from her chest as I pushed her into the ground. 

"Maya." A stern voice said from behind me, I lifted my foot from Dylan's chest and turned to face my shocked mother, a pissed off Matias and older Matias and councilman Samuel. 

"What the hell Maya?" Matias growled. 

"Councilman Samuel." I said bowing and ignoring Matias, "Alpha Santiago I presume." I raised a single eyebrow at older Matias who nodded once. 

"Maya, I've heard a lot about you, never once have I heard that you're violent." Santiago said in a deep Colombian accent. 

"Usually I'm not, this she-wolf knows how to get under my skin." He nodded.

"That is no reason to assault someone." My mother said condescendingly.

"So if a she-wolf who had a thing for your mate and the love of your life, came up to you whilst he is unable to attend an event and called him something only your allowed to call him, you would sit back and let it happen?" I asked coldly. 

"I....I...ugghh..I would've hit her too." My mother admitted in defeat. 

"Thomas isn't your mate!" Dylan spat. 

"I beg to differ." A scottish accent said from behind me, I smiled up at Raider who was glaring daggers at Dylan. 

"Raider!" I said happily hugging him. "Why are you here?" 

"Well, Tom has asked me to be his beta, and I said aye so here I am watching his Luna for him." I smiled and turned back to the people I was speaking to, my mother was watching us curiously while Dylan was glowering with Matias. "And who is that hunk?" Raider asked looking at Matias while licking his lips. 

"That is Matias, son of Alpha Santiago, they live in Colombia." Raider made an 'Ick' face and smiled at Samuel. 

"Councilman Samuel." He said with a bow before he looked at Dylan. "What happen'd to yer face?"

"Maya happened." Matias sneered earning a snarl from Raider. 

"Watch yer tone." He growled. "Ya know what Luna? I think I'll stick to hot Scotsman with facial hair." Raider said. I laughed loudly and tapped his arm. 

"It's probably for the best." I said still giggling. 

"Excuse me...Luna Maya?" I looked over at Moira who was looking at me from behind Dylan. 

"Hi Moira, how have you been?" I asked surprising her with a hug. 

"I've been alright. Everyone is so excited that you're home." She said when I pulled back. "Oh, I came to inform you that dinner is ready." 

"Wonderful, is everyone at the table, including the wolves who made the food?" I asked raising my brow. 

"Everyone except you all." She said with a soft smile. 

"Then let's go get food." I said happily. We all walked to the table and found seats, I placed myself between Raider and Alpha Santiago who seemed kinder than his son. 

"Before we begin eating let us take a moment to welcome Luna Maya home!" Councilman Mason said standing up with the rest of the council. I stood up and bowed and pulled Raider up. 

"Wandering Moon this is Raider, he is from Broken Loch in Scotland. He had been appointed as the Beta, this shall also be his welcome feast." I said to the pack who bowed at Raider. 

"Welcome home Luna Maya and Beta Raider." The pack said in unison. I sat down with Raider and we began eating in silence, after eating with us long enough he began to eat silently as well. When we were both done with our food I smiled at him. 

"So Raider where are your things?" I couldn't wait for him to choose his house. 

"In the car I rode here in. I didn't know what room would be mine." He said shrugging. 

"You're going to love it!" I said happily. He smiled at my enthusiasm and looked at my neck and waggled his eye brows. 

"I see someone staked his claim." He said while I bit my bottom lip and nodded. 

"You should see what I did to him." I said purring.

"Oh I can imagine." He said laughing. "Just look at yer face." I growled and smacked his arm lightly. 

"I can make you sleep in wolf form." I threatened, he deadpanned and rolled his eyes. 

"So Maya, hows Thomas?" My mom said from beside Santiago. 

"We're both pissed off at being separated, but other than that we're good."

"Aye Tom was storm'n round after ye' left and it took Flint shoving the lemur in his face to calm him down." I giggled while my mom looked confused. 

"Do you mean Suri?" She asked. 

"Yeah Tommy called dibs on keeping her with him." I said looking at her.

"You let him touch her? You nearly took my arm off when I tried to wash her once." She said astounded. 

"Tom's the same way. Once he calmed down he ripped the lemur from Flint and snarled at him before putting it on the bed, in yer spot no less." He said the last part looking down at me. I smirked and felt my stomach do flips when I pictured how adorable Thomas was. 

"He's only a puppy when yer round." Raider said reading my mind. "He made Flint submit." He whispered in my ear shocking me. Just then my butt began to vibrate, I pulled out my phone and saw Thomas's face on my caller ID, I got up and walked away from the table before answering. 

"Tommy." I said breathlessly waiting to hear him.

"Hey Angel mate. How're you doing baby?"

"My day just got a hell of a lot better." I purred. He chuckled into his end of the phone and sighed. 

"I had to leave a meeting, one of the wolves pissed me off. I need to hear you angel." He said sadly. 

"I know what you mean, Dylan's here and she had the nerve to call you Tommy......I kinda punched her in the mouth and made her a floor-mat."

"That's my Luna." He said with a sigh. "I've got to go back to the meeting, I love you Maya."

"I love you most Tommy." I said hanging up. "C'mon Raider, lets get you home." I yelled without turning around, I saw Logan by the SUV eating dinner. I walked over to him and he bowed his head. 

"Luna Maya." He said swallowing his food. 

"When you're done eating will you take Raider's things to the new houses please, I'm going to drive him over and let him choose the Beta's house."

"Of course Luna." He said with a small smile. 

"Thank you." He beamed and I turned to Raider who was walking up, I grabbed his arm and pulled him to my car. 

"Oooo, this is gorgeous." He said eyeing him.

"Well get in." He did and I backed out of the driveway before driving us to the three home community.
