(Viktor’s POV)
The pub is crowded. I’m sitting at the bar. My section is riddled with empty whiskey glasses. I have my eyes on a beautiful curly brunette sitting alone at a table off in the corner. Her face is glued to her cellphone but her eyes are swollen and red behind her glasses. Were you crying? Did your husband cheat on you? My eyes fall down to her hands. Her nails are perfectly polished a light shade of pink with a tiny diamond on her ring finger. Ring finger. My eyes practically zoom in at the ring on her finger.
