Kaitlin’s POV
A massive growl shook the ground, and I could hear Lodi tossing stuff around, but his shouts were muffled. I sighed and moved back out into the hallway. Glancing once more at the door and rolling my shoulders, I made my way towards his tantrum. My mask once more slides over my features.
As I rounded the corner, hundreds of Hellebores were sprouting out from Amalia’s room and had planted themselves into the cracks and crevasses of the castle. A chuckle escaped my lips and Lodi’s gaze snapped to me, “What was that?” He hissed, ripping apart the flowers and with each petal that fell, three more full blooms took its place. “Nothing.” I said and he growled stalking towards me, “I told you to seek.” He spit in my face, and I was so close to losing my patience.
