Ben’s POV
I could sense someone staring at my back. The presence was soothing despite the grief pouring out of me as I hugged Kaitlin’s body. I didn’t turn to face whomever had come back, but the second he spoke, my fury and anger took over completely. His sickening laugh echoed in the room.
I spun to face my father as he stood in the doorway smirking down on me, “Well, isn’t this pathetic.”
“I will kill you for this father!” I growled at my father, who only shrugged and laughed, “It’s one pathetic female son, look at you. You can have the world…” He tipped his head back and laughed.
