Ben’s POV
I knew Ryan and Blayn wanted to see her but I just couldn’t bring myself to let her go, “Out.” Fenris growled out for me, I was done. I had nothing left. They both just looked at me and turned, walking slowly out the door. I cradled her to me, shaking and tears falling onto her skin. Her scent was already gone, the sparks missing from our touch.
I pulled away and screamed at the top of my lungs. I stood, not letting her go, and looked around the room for something to cover her. I didn’t see anything, so I walked out carrying my mate. I kicked open every door, following my own scent back towards the entrance.
