Kaitlin’s POV
“Awww did your precious mate die? Let me guess I ripped out his heart.” Lodi taunted me and my body began to shake in anger. I needed to use this rage against him. He stalked around the outside of my cage, “Frustrating isn’t it, not being able to reach what you want. Now it is MY turn to laugh and torment you.” He turned and walked away, clicking the remote as he did, and the high-pitched decibel returned. At the same time, a whip of Oleander came rushing out. I straightened as quickly as I could, but the wire whipped at the soft exposed skin under my arm, and I hissed as the toxin hit my bloodstream.
I bit back a scream, Lodi’s eyes met my glaring ones and he smirked, stepping on the lever for gas, “Sweet dreams little wolf.”
