Ben’s POV
I raced off the plane not even paying attention to what was going on around me. I thought I saw something coming for me, but nothing ever hit me, and I followed the rich scent of my mate. It was so strong that I could barely focus on anything else. I needed to find her.
I was nearly there when I saw a small girl trying to hurt a beautiful silver-white Lycan. Fenris lost it, my heart was beating wildly in my chest as I laid eyes on the majestic creature. I could tell it was female and from the scent, it smelled of Kaitlin. I knew Raynor’s line was white, but this Lycan was silver-white and Fenris said, ‘MATE!’ confirming it was her.
I watched as Kaitlin circled the girl and as the child went to hurt my mate again, I launched myself at her to get her out of the way
