I moved so that my head was on his chest and I made shapes on his taut stomach. One of Jared’s arms was around my shoulder and the other was at my waist. I didn’t know what to expect out of this, but something deep down told me that Jared was going to open up to me. “Do you want to know why I have such a hatred for humans?” he asked as if it was the most casual thing in the world and I nodded.
