*Augustus*

I was in my first meeting of the day but I couldn't focus on the meeting as I thought about my Mate. Her lips on mine, Her beautiful eyes, her soft moans as I pounded her sweet spot causing her wet juices to splash all over me..I wanted nothing more than to be in her and not here.

I tried my best to focus but her face keeps popping up in my head. I took a sip of water hoping it would help settle the fire brewing in me. I looked around noticing a hood figure seated in the corner of the room. I tried to make out who they were because they seemed familiar. I looked around the rest of the room and noticed an ex, Omlese staring at me.

I forgot all about her during these five years that I was gone. I didn't ever call her or write her in any way or form. I only dated her for the fun of it. She was the hottest girl in school at the time and I was the best looking guy there. Of course we looked good together and her beauty is breathtaking, though I can't even compare her to the beauty of my mate.

She eyed me like candy and I became nauseous at the thought of her touching me again. I turned my attention to the council members who were talking about problems in the packs that need to be fixed. They are bringing bigger problems to the surface since tomorrow is the day my sister shifts into the phoenix wolf and they need her to defeat unknown species that look oddly like bears but we are unsure yet.

The weird bear-like creatures have been appearing more often in the last 6 months. Nobody really knows why but they have a feeling that it's due to the Phoenix Wolf.

"So what do we do when we are tied between saving a single wolf and the people if these creatures attack? Is this wolf so important that we are risking our lives and the lives of our family and pack members?" One of the council members blurted out

"Watch what you say about my daughter" My father growled.

"But sir how are you for sure that it's your daughter? Rumors say she isn't as pure hearted as you make her out to be." Another commented.

"My daughter is all I make her out to be and when she proves it to all of you. Don't you dare hold out your hands. Rumors are Rumors and no one else in this Kingdom was conceived on the day the energy disappeared." He stated boldly at the member of the council.

"I heard differently" The same council member stated calmly, not effected by my fathers words or anger and my father eyes went wide for a second but he soon fixed his face.

"And what different did you hear?" my father gritted his teeth. The council member smirked knowing he has my father trapped some way, some how.

"Some say a baby was stolen, a little gem from her loving parents because their daughter was born on the same day as yours and though kelp quite about, we knew. And with that there might be a chance that your daughter is nothing but mere Alpha female compared to the legend the King and Queen was blessed with." My father was seething at this point and the council member knew he had him. "You couldn't stand the fact that your best friend took the woman you loved and not only that.. had a baby that was born to be a legend but I mean rumors are rumors. Right?" My father jumped across the table choking the council member.

"How dare you" He yelled as he gripped tighter and tighter with each passing second. All of a sudden my dad started to flout in the air. He flew to the wall crashing into it but whoever had a hold of him didn't let up. He was thrown up to the ceiling hitting it with so much force his bones and the ceiling cracked. He cried out in pain, yelling to let him go and sure enough, he was... Landing on the floor with a hard thud, Passing out from the force of the fall.

"Let you all take this as a lesson." A woman's voice echoed powerfully through the large room as the hooded figure removed her hood revealing The Queen. I knew she seemed familiar. "You will not touch a hair on a single council member here or not here. We are here for business and finding the truth to solving mysteries that are beyond our control. I will not stand for intolerance and outburst of anger. Are we understood?"

"Yes my Queen" We all answered but my father who was still knocked out cold. The Queen had him taken to the pack hospital before he slipped into a coma.

"My beautiful Augustus" She greeted me after the meeting. "How are you?" She smiled

"I am fine" I smiled into her touch. "Though I found my mate" I smiled.

"And why do I hear sadness. Shouldn't you be happy. Why do you not seem happy?" She frowned

"It's not her, if that's what you're thinking. She is great" She signed in relief at my words. "Though I am highly addicted to her already. I am unsure if the moon goddess thought it was a joke to pair me with an omega." I added and the Queen smacked me in the back of the head

"ouch" I quickly grabbed my head

"No Luna is weaker than the Alpha next to her. Are you weak?"

"No" I said in a low tone as I looked down feeling ashamed of myself.

"Then nor is she" She grabbed my face and lifted my head. "You never know what hides in the dark until a light decides to shine on it." I looked at her with tears in my eyes. Happy I have someone like her to give me encouragement and advice in my weakest and unsure moments. "So stop giving the bond you have with her any more negative thoughts. Plus I can smell someone on you and I'm guessing it's her." My eyes went wide and my mouth dropped at the Queens words. "oh don't seem so shocked. I'm mated too." I busted out laughing as she joined in.

I was interrupted by my guard telling me my mate has been arrested and thrown in the cells. My guards, my dad and some of the maids know about Edrea being my Mate but no one else does.

"It was nice seeing you, my Queen." I bowed. "But I have to go get my mate out of jail." The Queen frowned but only nodded.

"I told you she had something hidden" She yelled out the last part and I just sighed, hoping it was not a knack for getting in trouble.

I hurried to the cells and seeing my mate had me wanting to rip whoever did this to shreds. I was so angry I didn't even acknowledge her parents. Fueling with fire as I demanded they release her this instant!

*Edrea*

I perked up at the sound of my Mates voice demanding they let me out. Everyone else was so focused on me they didn't notice him coming. Until he walked up to my cell and my father became defensive. I touched his arm letting him know it was ok.

Augustus motioned for the guard to unlock the cell, letting me free from this place. He looked at me before yelling at his guards..

"Who locked my Mate up? I want whoever is involved in this in my office now." He demanded in his Alpha tone.

"yes sir." Two of the guards that are always with him hurried off to find who locked me up. He turned back to me, checking my body before examining my face. His face hardened at my bruised face and swollen lip.

"I will Kill the one who dared to touch you." He growled

"I think she needs to get to the pack hospital before we start talking about revenge." My mother insisted. He nodded his head and led us out of the pack cells. It was horrible every second.

I dared not say anything as he picked me up like something was wrong with my legs. I wiggled so he could put me down but he only gripped me tighter. Growling at my attempt to get out of his hold. He looked at me through the side of his eye and I stopped moving knowing I was in trouble after I healed.

"That's a good girl" He said low enough so only I would hear him. Smirking at his win to carry me to the pack hospital. Everyone was staring at us but nobody said anything. I hid my face in his chest and we continued on without a word. I can still feel them looking at us. Wondering why the future Alpha was cradling me, an omega, in his arms.

We got to the pack hospital and the nurses directed us into a room. It wasn't an ordinary room. It had a full size bed in the middle of the room with a small sitting area and a large 55 inch TV off to the side of the room. It was decorated in gold and Jade colors that made the room look and feel peaceful.

I looked in awe as Augustus sat me on the bed. Moving out the way so the two twin nurses can look at me. The only difference is their hair color. One has Blue hair and turquoise eyes and the other has pink hair with purple eyes. With the same face, they were beautiful to say the least.

"Alpha" They greeted him with a bow before he allowed them to rise. "Luna" They bowed to me as well. Before looking at my face in the light. "It looks like a male omega, possibly a guard....." The one with the pink hair trailed off after examining me for a little while.

"Possibly a large male that can hit pretty hard. She was hit multiple times in the same spot but not hard enough to cause permanent damage to her pretty face" The blue haired one finished.

They backed up from me and I was left wondering how they knew I was hit multiple times? and how did they know his possible size? I could see Augustus is furious about what they have told him. He looked my way and walked up to me. Caressing my face and looking into my eyes like he has failed me. I wanted to tell him I was ok but one side of my lip was swollen shut now.

He kissed my head before he stormed out of the room. I was left in confusion and wanted to shout out his name but I couldn't and so I laid back feeling defeated. The pink haired nurse gave me a cold pack for my lip.

"Don't worry we will get you nice and comfortable and also get some more cold packs for that lip to calm down" The pink haired one said to me as she gave me another pillow. "Oh and my name is Lacy and this is my sister Lucy."

They both smiled brightly at me. "we will be back with the stuff to check your vitals, so get some rest and we'll see you soon with some food as well." She tapped my shoulder and I couldn't help but become sleepy. The last thing I remember is my mom saying that they will be there when I wake up.
