"So I'm possibly the next heir to the throne?" Edrea repeated what Alpha Augustus has told her.
"Yes" The Queen moved toward her "I can feel it, can't you? It's this connection that only our blood line can feel between each other." Edrea just stared at her for a minute
"I.." She started but stopped "I can feel something but I am not sure what it is" She admitted
"Let me show" The Queen started but her husband stopped her
"Let's find out through the DNA test first and then we can show her our family's way of recognizing each other." He gently suggested, though she hesitated, she still agrees with him.
"Ok, that's fair. Right love?" I said rubbing her thigh which seems to calm her down.
"Yeah that's fair" And the Queen almost jumped out of her seat with excitement but quickly catches her composer. It was so fast I don't know if I imagined her jump or she truly did.
"Thank you for agreeing to take the test." The Queen says with a smile
"Of course my Queen" Edrea says
"You don't.. Never mind, we will talk about that after the test." And the King rubbed the top of her hand. She gave him a smile that didn't reach her eyes and he kissed her forehead. It made me wonder if he could feel what she felt.
"Anybody else got anything to say?" I say
"Yes, I have a question." The King of Peri spoke up
"Why did some of our troops see Flora come out of your Kingdom?" And I gulp, knowing I've been caught. I didn't think it would come back so soon. I started to shift in my seat and everyone noticed the change in my demeanor.
"What is he talking about my love?" Edrea asks and I know I messed up at that very moment. I should've told her everything when I had the chance. Now I know there is a higher possibility that she will leave me forever and I will live out my days in loneliness.
Everyone stared at me as I tried my best to find a way out of this mess but nothing. I found no escape, the truth needed to be said and I have to pay the consequences for my ways. I cleared my throat ready to take on my punishment..

I was taken aback by the King of Peri or( should I say my father ) question. FLORA? When was she here and why? I thought he told me everything but clearly he is a liar and untrustworthy.
"She was here because she assisted me the first time in kidnapping you, Edrea" I nodded because I already knew that part but he continued as he looks me in the eyes. " I didn't know what her plans were in doing it but I've heard of the consequences."
I frowned at him wondering why he was still talking about what he already told me "Why?"
"Just listen" He grabs my arms gently and I quiet down "She came back a few days ago. At first I thought it was just a visit to update me about everything that's going on. To see if anyone knew I took you and brought you hear but instead." He gulps and I try to steady my breathing as the air in the room has become so thick, I can cut it with a knife.
"Instead what?" Augustus says through gritted teeth as anger laced his tone.
"Instead.. She plans on taking you down. I don't know how but I know it's not good" he admits
"Bull s**t" Augustus yelled slamming his hand on the table
"It's the truth!" he yelled back at him but focused his attention back to me "She plans on making you suffer for stealing her life. Her destiny as she puts it by exposing you in some way." I frown even harder at his words "And I'm going to be honest and I do not regret my next words" He looks at Augustus, the King and then the Queen
"She is a wicked little girl and she is planning on killing Edrea if given the chance." The Queen waves her hands in the air as if she already knew of Flora plans.
"What?" My mouth drops
"The girl stinks of evil and the moment I saw how she looked at you when everyone found out that you were the Phoenix Wolf and not herself. I knew she was envious and would possibly go as far as killing you to obtain what she desires. This is not new." The Queen said and I looked at her with sadness.
"I knew she hated me but I didn't think she would go as far as killing me." Tears welled up in my eyes and King Barot pulled me close to him.
"Don't you worry about her, my love. You are protected and we will never allow her to get to you."
"You're right, she will try her best to destroy us all just to get what she wants. I have seen her do it before, I have seen her kill people because they didn't give her what she wanted. Everyone thinks she is the golden child because she balances the scales to work in her favor. I have no clue have she still holds them but I know she will go to the extreme to get what she wants. That I can agree on" Augustus says through the hair that now covers his eyes.
"Then we need to stop her" The King finally speaks up
"And we will" The Queen squeezes his hand.
"Ok, so what's the plan?" Augustus says
"The plan is to prepare for War, to the War room we go" King Barot says
"Now we're talking " The King of Peri stands up, along with everyone else but Augustus. I look up to see the King eager to leave for the war room to plan but I felt like one more matter needed to be addressed.
"What is wrong my friend?" Barot asks him and He looks at King Barot and scuffs
"When did we become friends" but before he could answer Augustus chuckles "Nothing is wrong, now lead us to this war room of yours" He changes the subject but I know he is hiding something.
Barot grabs my hand and Augustus takes the other, I smile at them both as Barot lead us out the meeting hall and into the war room. I can feel this being the beginning to an end..
but I'm not sure how it will end.....
