*** Although the sun was shining bright, the breeze was cool- a perfect combination to soothe my aching heart. The scent of lillies filled the atmosphere, intertwined with baby breaths in an arrangement throughout the backyard of Haren Estate. A glass tent had been set up as the venue for the funeral with a similar entryway leading from the mansion to the venue. Lanterns lined the path, lighting the way for our guests- men and women who cherished my grandfather in life and even in his death. The funeral was certainly unlike any other, as I had intended it to be. Every single plan and arrangement I had made was intentional.
