A Million Reason why

Serena POV As he pushed the door and stepped inside . He saw me I was dancing. I spins in the air light as a cloud . I moves my body and does a pile. My dancing moves fluently. My feet taunt the devil, my arms stretch towards the heavens. I stirs envy in others with the beauty and poise. I am no stranger to mistakes. but my performance gives the illusion of perfection. I have fallen but never stays down. I bows when her time is up . I lifted m head up and saw Chad standing in the doorway, looking lost in her eyes . " Who are you? He didn't answer her. He watched from up there in the rafters as she pinned her brown hair into place. He watched her as his light bounced straight off her jawbone. And those eyes were a colour he had never seen and he just wished for a moment, it's like her body fell straight from his dreams. She stopped in front of Chad and asked him the same question again. ". I'm Chad and who are you? " I'm Serena and what are you doing in here? " You are Serena?? Chad asked him curiously. " Yeah, I am Serena. Do you have a problem with it? " Not at all, I was looking for your mother but, I guess, God wants us to meet " Chad says in a flirtatious way, which made Serena lose control. " Who the hell think you are? and what do you want? " Chill, I meant by business ." Serena thought, " What kinda of business? Serena folded her arms together. " Personal business if you want me to tell you. We can go to my place then I can explain to you everything in private." Serena chewed her bottom lip while looking dead him in the eye and which makes Chad's chest rose 2cm. He returned a smile but soon after Serena's facial expressions change in to a glaring face. " Mister, I think you are at wrong place this is the ballet school not a stripper club. Go somewhere else to fulfill your lust." Chad was quite surprised by her answer, no girl ever rejected him on his face. " You didn't get it right.... I meant by ballet business not about s*x. What can I say you have a dirty mind but I don't." " Ballet Business?? Oh... I am sorry, you came for the ballet dancing partner . " " What do you mean? by ballet dancing partner . " " I'll explain, I urgently need a ballet dancer for a competition because my partner broke his arm and he is unable to perform with me and the audition is in four months. " " What competition exactly? " The international ballet competition. If I don't win this competition I will lose everything. " " Lose everything? " Yeah, I will lose this ballet school because the school is in great debt and if I don't pay the debt I will lose this school and my life but by winning the prize money. I can pay the debt and save this place. Will you help me? she said with pleading eyes . Chad, thought he couldn't help her because he needed to buy the property, not help her to save it. " Look, as much as I want to help you. I can't I'm not a ballet. " " I can teach you, we have time please... I am begging you. " she fell at the feet of Chad. Chad was feeling extremely bad for her but he couldn't do anything about it. " I am sorry, I can't help you. You will find someone else, better than me, but I'm not the one who can help you. " Sadness filled her eyes, making her unable to speak. " I wasn't supposed to be here! why father? why father? You know I'm bad at these kinda of situation." he thought and begin remembering how he got in this situation. A Day ago, Ontario Serena was practicing for the state competition for ballet at the Ballerina’s Ballroom school which her mother owns. The ballet instructor applauded her wondrous accomplishment. She bowed to say thank you and smiled. She sits cross-legged on the ground to stretch her feet out so they don't cramp up. " Serena, where is Darrick? her instructor asked Serena. " Miss Luan, I called Darrick but he wasn't picking up my call. Maybe he won't come today." " Serena, you are taking everything lightly that you shouldn't have. The competition is just four months away." " I know, Miss Luan, I'll call him. Just give me a moment. " Luan was over from class for today and Serena was mad at Derrick because he was being careless about it. She removed her ballet shoes and walked out of the class, feeling frustrated because everything depended on winning this competition. She walked through the locker room and sat down on the bench, against the wall. She sat down there for a while to relax. She put her clothes off and as she was picking her clothes from the bag. Tina rushed through the dressing room door, looking for Serena. Serena was standing butt n***d and absolutely frightened by seeing Tina. " What are you doing? Serena asks her friend Tina in a state of frightening. " You are n***d!!! " I know, just go out and let me put on some clothes. " " I am not into girls and you know that, so, don't worry about that and forget about it. I have bad news for you. " " What bad news? she asked Tina, and hoping that it wouldn't be related to her mother. " I don't know how to tell you that? but... she took a pause. " Don't tell me, something happened to mother. " " Of course, not aunty is alright and she is at home and trust me it's a worst then that." " Just spit out, don't give me anxiety Tina! She quickly put her clothes on. " Okay, I'm telling you just quite for a moment. Derrick got into an accident and he broke his arm. " " WHAT?? Serena had all of her hope to save her school was shattered to pieces. " It's true, I'm sorry, I just came from the hospital and he can't dance with you . " " Oh no, this can't be real!! Please tell me this can't be real... what do we do? the competition is just at the door and Derrick's arm is broken. " " Don't worry, we will figure out something, just stay calm and let me think something out.We can find someone else. " An image flashed across her face of her being convinced Derrick to do ballet with her. Flash Back " LET ME GO!!! YOU BOTH ARE CRAZY!! I'M NOT DOING BALLETS. WHAT will I SAY? I WILL NEVER SHOW MY FACE AGAIN TO ANYONE" " What?? We are not doing your r**e and why can't you do ballet? Look, it's the way to save my school and I'm your friend and I need your help. " Serena said to Derrick, begging him to say yes to her ballet partner. " NO!! IT'S MY FINAL ANSWER AND NOW UNLOCK THE ROOM AND LET ME GO!! Tina took her place to convince Derrick, but no way was Derrick listening to them. Serena stood beside the side table and she had been convincing Derrick for the past two hours and she glanced over to her sister's pet tarantula who was caged in the glass box, sitting on the table and she remembered Kate had told her to feed her tarantula had Serena thought something else for it and an evil plan came in her mind. She took the tarantula in her hand carefully and placed it on Derrick's shoulder without him knowing. " Don't move Derrick! Serena warned him " Why? he replied. " Don't look back or breathe, " Derrick looked at his shoulder and he turned pale when he saw the tarantula on his shoulder. " GET OFF IT!! He scream " I will not because you are not helping me. Then why would I? " PLEASE!!!!!!!! HELP ME OUT! I SWEAR I WILL HELP YOU" " Promise me, you will help me." "I SWEAR!!!GOD PROMISE! TAKE IT OUT FROM ME!!! PRESENT " What will you figure out? Don't you remember how we convinced Derrick, almost giving him a stroke, and this time we didn't have a Kate pet tarantula. She sold it on eBay for 20 bucks. " " What are you talking about? We don't need a tarantula this time. All we need is Ray. " " You mean sunrays?? " No!! You stupid, we need your friend Ray Winslow. He could help us. He owns a freaking newspaper. He can print an AD in his newspaper for a ballet dancer. What do you say? " It is the worst idea I have ever heard. I can't use him for my help. " " Really, if you have a better option,then tell me. " Serena thought for a second but no better idea came into her mind, except about going with Tina's option and she looked at Tina, hopelessly, and told her that she was going with her option. She took out her mobile from her pocket and dialed Ray's number. He picked my call immediately, and I said, " Hello, Ray how are you doing? " I'm doing great and How you doing? " Ummm... I'm doing great... no, I'm not doing great." " What happen? you didn't sounded alright and is everything okay? your mother, your sister." " Yeah, everything is fine and can we meet? " Ummm... I have a meeting in an hour so, we can meet before that." " Prefect!! I will not take your time." she said to him and hung up the phone. She looked at Tina and Tina asked her why didn't she told him? " I can't tell him on the call and do you have your car? I need to go to the Ray's office." " I didn't brought my car." " s**t! Serena told Tina that she is leaving to meet ray and until she thinks something else. Serena grab her hand bag and rushed out of the building and whistle to stop the cab. A cab stop for her and she jumped on the back seat of the car, telling the driver address she was praying that Ray would help her. Soon, she arrived at the Ray's office and the driver pulled the car to side. Serena paid the driver and hop out of the car, crossing the road the carefully. She made it inside of the office. She took the elevator to go up on the 23th floor. Once, she got on the 23th floor. She saw Ray's assistant Rina was sitting outside of the counter. She moved towards her and say, " Good afternoon, Rina." " Oh, hey Serena Mr, Ray is waiting for you." " Thank you." she say's and made her way to Ray's champer. She knock on the door and a voice came from inside to come in. She pushed the door and step inside and when Ray saw her he immediately, got up from the seat. " Welcome! have a seat please... what you'll have tea or coffee? ray ask her. " thanks but I don't need anything." She said and pulled the chair for herself and she slammed down. Ray pulled the chair next to her and sat down and he asked her, " What happened? what you wanna talk about? " I don't know how to say that but Ray I need your a tiny bit favor." " I'm your friend and you can ask me about anything you want and since, when you are thinking so much about me asking? " You know, I don't take help or favor of anyone but this time I'm utterly helpless. Darrick got into an accident and broke his arm and he was unable to preform with me in competition." Ray's facial expressions turned into shocked he took out a check from his pocket and took the pen from the table he write something on it and turned towards Serena. He outstretched his hand to give it to her and she took the check from his hand and asked him, " What is that? " A check for 1 million dollars for you. I don't want you to participate in any competition take this and pay your debt Serena. " " What you are doing Ray? I don't need your money." Serena said and got up from her chair and she continue, " I don't want money and since when I'm asking you about money and how could you think of that." " Then, what you need? don't tell me you want me to be your dancing partner and if you do want then that would be the worst idea. I don't know how to dance? and even if you teach me I can't preform with you because I have a very busy schedule I wish I could help you but I can't... " Oh, no... Of course not, I mean you can help me but not as being my dancing partner but I need something else and by something else means I want you to print a AD in your newspaper of hiring a male ballet dancer." Ray paused for a second... Serena waited patiencly for him to say something. " That's it! that's what you want from me.' " Yeah, can you do that for me and it fine even if you can't do that. I'll figure out something else." " Of course, I can do that it's the least thing you can ask me Serena." " Seriously! Serena, became so excited that she didn't realize the next mint she was standing, wrapping around ray and he was squeezing her in his arms and she immediately, jerked back and the awkwardness filled the space between them. " I-I... I apologize for was just get too excited." she said to ray. " That's fine! I apologize too and I'll call Rina you can tell her everything you need to write in the AD." he replied and took the phone receiver and told Rina to come into his chamber. Ray told Serena to have to seat and she seated again and Rina knock on the door. " Come in! Rina step inside and greet Ray and ask him how she would help him? " Rina, Serena wants to print a AD in tomorrow's newspaper so, I want you to guide Serena what she want?or what she don't? and make sure the AD will be printed tonight." ray said to Rina and she nodded everything. " Miss Serena, please come with me." Rina said to Serena and she looked at ray, " Thank you so much ray if you weren't in my life then what would I'll do without you. You are a life saver for me." " Friends don't say thank you and Rina will guide you and I have go now for the meeting and informated me when you find your new dancing partner and see you soon. " Serena smiled and Ray got up from his chair and They all walked out Ray's office room.
