CHAPTER 1
HIS ONLY DAUGHTER
Dennis was tired of Barbie. He was tired of her strange attitude since she lost her mum. He had tried all he could do as a father to help her out of the trauma but all his efforts were dashed Into thin air.
He was damn tired of her yet he could not leave her alone even for once. Barbie was the only good thing remaining in his life so he had no option other than to accept his fate.
He had promised to stand by her since that day she watched her mum burn to ashes in a ghastly accident that took the life of scores, and left many with life battling injuries.
Barbie loves pizza a lot. It was pizza her late mum was going to buy for her when she had an accident and burnt into ashes. And since then she had been psychologically disarrayed.
Since her mum died, Dennis paid a sum of ten thousand dollars Into a restaurant account for Barbie, thinking that she could eat dozens of Pizza in a day if she wants. Unfortunately for him, Barbie chose another restaurant where she would love to eat her pizza for reasons that she never told her Dad. She love to eat pizza in a restaurant that was close to her school.
"Barbie" Dennis turned to the angry Barbie in the car and whispered her name. Barbie looked down and away as if she never heard her dad's voice. She got angry after her dad shouted at her over her new choice.
" I am so sorry, Barbie. You know Daddy loves you so much, and will do anything for you" he added.
Barbie nodded slightly before she responded, " but daddy didn't want to buy me the pizza close to my school"
" Okay, fine. I am heading there right away to get you the pizza wherever you want it" Dennis said, making Barbie giggle at him.
" That's my girl, now smile for Daddy," Dennis said as he turned the direction of steering to the restaurant close to her school.
He drove to the restaurant and was whining down the glass of his car only for him to see Barbie smiling at a beggar that was asking for help at the footsteps of the restaurant through the mirror. He pretended as if he didn't see her and got out of the car. Maybe she took after her mother's kind nature or she wished she has some dollars to offer the beggar - Dennis taught.
" Baby, stay in the car. I will be back soon" Dennis said and moved towards the restaurant to buy her the pizza.
He walked up to the front of the beggar and put some dollar notes in her bowl and headed into the restaurant. He got to the restaurant and ordered pizza. While he stood in front of the waitress attending to him, he turned his face to the door to see Barbie smiling happily with the beggar through the transparent door. Not only that, they were talking as if they continued from somewhere.
He was happy to see her daughter smiling again but the relationship between her and the beggar was a shock to him. He instructed her to stay in the car and now he saw her outside playing with a stranger. Not just an ordinary stranger but a poor beggar.
" Is she your daughter?" The waitress asked Dennis as he was carried away by his daughter's halcyon. The waitress had branded the pizza a few minutes ago but Dennis was not aware.
" Oh, yea she is!" Dennis said and collected the branded pizza from the waitress.
" She use to come here after she closes school to buy pizza for the beggar. I have seen them eating it together on many occasions" The waitress said with a smile but it didn't sound good in Dennis's ears.
Dennis moved aggressively toward the door and pulled the door open. " Barbie, I think Dad told you to stay in the car".
Dennis pulled Barbie away from the beggar and unveiled the cloth on the beggar's face. He was wide-eyed and froze in place. He couldn't say anything other than the name, " Cynthia " as he looked at the beggar strangely.
" I am not Cynthia, I am Randy" the beggar spoke as she smiled at Barbie.
The poor beggar looks exactly like his late wife. He quickly remembered how her late wife was burnt into ashes in his presence and concluded that she wasn't the one. But how come she has a striking resemblance with his wife? Randy was almost the same as Cynthia the only difference is the voice and the eye color.
" What are you doing with my daughter?" Dennis furrowed his brows and asked indignantly.
" She calls me her mum anytime she closes in school. She bought me pizza several times and ....." Randy paused and bite a donut in her hand.
Now Dennis knew why Barbie had chosen to buy her pizza here. It was because of a poor beggar who look exactly like her late mum.
" No, you can't be her mum. You are just a poor beggar who begs for food" Dennis screamed at Randy in a warring tone.
" I don't want to see you close to my daughter again. Her mum is dead a long time ago" Dennis blew hot.
Dennis carried Barbie, pushed her angrily into his car, and rode back home. Perhaps, Barbie could not stop shedding tears till they arrive home. Dennis could not do anything to stop her crying daughter other than to loud the music playing in the car to avoid being moved by her tears.
He rode into the parking garage of his house and saw his CEO waiting for him by the door. Her name is Jessica. She is 26 years old. She is dark, tall, and slim, yet, her boobs and butt are well-defined. She had come to remind Dennis of the Party at the Sheraton Villa tonight. She was the one that helped Dennis financially immediately after the departure of his wife. She was the CEO of YUMI Tech. Limited, and a bachelor single Billionaire.
Jessica loved Dennis so much that she made him her assistant manager. She loved his chiseled chest, broad shoulders, and his sexy face. He was her type of man right from time. But the only problem she had was Barbie.
Barbie never loved Jessica. She had never collected pizza from her either. She hated her because Jessica fought her mum to death. Barbie hated her dad the more she saw him with Jessica because she could remember how he beat her mum just because of Jessica. Barbie thereby sees Jessica as
the cause of her mum's death.
