Book 2.5 of The Bully Series:
He lost a bet and was told to make a girl fall in love with him in 30 days as the consequence. But what he doesn't know, what they both didn't know, was that she had the same task too. Who will say the words 'I love you' first? (A sort of prequel to The Bully's First Love)
"Make her fall in love with you in 30 days."
Ashe had his face buried on the desk into his folded arms when these words were spoken. He lifted his head. His best friend, Finn, was sitting in front of him with an odd expression on his face.
"Her?" Ashe asked as he rubbed his eyes.
Finn smirked and looked over at the desk near the front of the classroom. "Blanche," he replied.
If Ashe was still sleepy, he wasn't now. Fully-awake, he glanced at the red head sitting on the desk Finn was staring at.
"You're joking right?" Ashe groaned. "Out of all the girls in the room, no, in the campus, why does it have to be weird, cat-obsessed girl?"
"Hey, you don't have the right to complain. You lost the bet last night. This is your punishment and if you can't do it then your punishment will be to run around the campus."
Ashe quickly leaned forward with an eager expression. "I choose option number two."
"I'm not finished." Finn grinned. "You will run around the campus... naked."
Grimacing, Ashe sat back. "You're an asshole."
"Shut up. Like you're one to talk."
"This is going to be such a pain," he muttered unhappily.
"But not impossible. You just have to make her say the L word."
Ashe clenched his jaw. "Fine," he conceded. "I'll do it. I'll make her fall in love with me in 30 days."
Finn's grin widened. "This is going to be so much fun."
"Him," Jill whispered, pointing somewhere behind them.
Blanche looked up from her desk and looked behind her.
Then her eyes widened when she saw who Jill was intensely staring at.
"I think your aim is a bit off." She laughed nervously. "Please tell me you're pointing at Jacobs."
Jill's lip curled in disgust. "Why would I choose Mr. I'm-too-great-for-everyone-in-this-class Jacobs?"
"I... don't think that's his first name."
"He's probably a closet p*****t too so he won't even be a challenge," she grumbled.
"Fine," Blanche muttered. "Who exactly were you pointing at?
"It's Ashe, okay?" Jill tilted her head to the side, beaming. "You've got to make Ashe fall in love with you in 30 days and make him tell you that he loves you."
Blanche bit her lip and slid her eyes down to her unfinished drawing of a cat sleeping peacefully under the tree. Oh, how she liked to trade places with it right now.
"Jill," she started. "I know I've made you do horrible things whenever you lose our bets—"
"Like making me sing Justin Bieber's Baby during the school assembly?" Jill said wryly.
"—but this is another person's feelings we're talking about." Blanche continued.
"What about my feelings when you told me to do the Naruto run during PE class?"
"It's not my fault you lost the bet."
"And it's not my fault that you lost the bet too," Jill returned.
Blanche gritted her teeth and glared at her best friend. Her best friend glared back.
"Fine," Blanche finally said with a sigh. "I'll... I'll try."
Jill squealed and hugged her, drawing looks from their classmates.
"This is going to be so much fun."
This short story was uploaded on my Tumblr way back when I was still writing Sleeping with a Bully and before I wrote the drafts for The Bully's First Love. To my Tumblr followers, hi.
This plot came to me while I was watching a movie centered around a guy who was given the same punishment as Ashe when he lost a bet. But then I thought, what if they both lost a bet and had the same punishment?
This was supposedly a one-shot divided into short parts that I continuously uploaded on Tumblr when I had the time thus it is still in its very raw state (no editing, no long descriptions, etc.).
Thanks for reading! (*^▽^*)
