Her Betrayal

Maya waited patiently for Ryan to come home so he could explain why he stole her work and how he was able to get sponsors without she knowing any of these.

She was shattered, never in a million years would she have imagined Ryan doing something like this to her. All she had done was to love and cherish him. She didnt deserve such betrayal.

It's been two weeks now and Ryan hadn't shown up, his numbers were out of reach and he had blocked her on his social media accounts. She had no idea how she was going to reach him.

She tried calling Georgia too to explain to Georgia the things that had been going on in her life but Georgia's numbers were out of reach too. She felt so alone and overwhelmed with pain and suffering.

Maya decided to be strong for her kids, she needed to be healthy for her son and unborn daughter.

Maya had a beautiful baby girl who looked just like her brother and decided to name her Natalie. Her world fell apart but her children were her strength and she would do anything for them including forgetting the betrayal of her husband.

Maya returned back to work and was doing her best to keep her life going, she decided to call Georgia again and luckily for her, Georgia answered.

"hey girl! It's been ages since I last heard from you, where have you been?" Maya asked excitedly and concerned.

"hi Maya , I have been busy, sorry for not answering your calls or texts." Georgia answered briefly.

"Georgia are you okay? You sound different " Maya asked and Georgia insisted she was doing okay , she got off the phone hurriedly and promised to call Maya back but never did.

Maya tried calling Georgia again but to no avail, she was in her office one day when someone texted her a disturbing photo. It was a picture of Ryan acting all loved up with a lady in his i********: post, the lady's back was turned to the camera so Maya couldn't see her face. Unable to get any peace since receiving that text, she decided to create a different account so she can view the post properly since he blocked her main account.

She logged in the account and searched his profile, she saw how much Ryan had changed over the months, money sure looked good on him, he was living the life going from countries to countries, he already owned his own company. He was living off her dreams and hard work. She was so hurt seeing how he was doing alright without a sense of remorse.

She finally saw the post the anonymous person texted her but she wasn't ready for what she was about to see. What was Georgia doing kissing her husband and why is she pregnant? Maya couldn't believe her eyes, first it was Ryan now Georgia. How could the two people she loved so much hurt her so deeply?

She needed answers and she needed answers only they could provide.

She used all her resources to get information on how to reach them and finally she was able to get their address through a mutual friend she and Georgia shared.

"wow, so the pictures were true" Maya said bitterly as Ryan and Georgia alighted from their car.

"what are you doing here Maya ?" Ryan asked irritably.

"what am I doing here? How dare you ask me such? You left me all alone with two children, you stole my dreams, my hard work and flaunted it as yours and if that wasn't enough, you got my best friend pregnant and you dare ask me what am I doing here?" Maya questioned shouting on top of her voice.

"Please reduce your voice Maya , this is a serene environment" Georgia said with a straight face.

Maya looked at her in disgust, how could she have been so foolish not to see how evil Georgia could be.

"How could you Georgia? What did I do to you?" Maya asked in tears.

"Gosh, you're so stupid, the one with the good job, the one with a handsome husband and beautiful children, the one who everyone loves. I'm sick of it Maya, I'm sick of you having an easy life, always getting all you need" Georgia replied with so much hate in her voice and Maya was shocked to hear the things Georgia had in her heart against her.

"How long have the both of you been having an affair?" Maya questioned them shaking from her tears.

"what do you think?" Georgia answered with a smirk.

"Wait, it was you all along, the cologne, the lipstick stains, that was you?" Maya asked, her heart clenched. How could she have been a fool all this time?

"Like I said, you're so stupid, I did all that on purpose so you could leave but you were so determined to make your marriage and I'm so thankful to you, at least something good came out of it" Georgia replied laughing.

"what do you mean?" Maya asked and she suddenly realized, the battery! Ryan came back to her after she told Georgia that she was almost done with the battery and he named it "The R-Force" a name she had discussed with Georgia.

Georgia and Ryan had been playing her. She was hurt beyond words.

"You made me write those proposals knowing very well you weren't going to give it to any company. You made me write them for him" Maya asked Bowing her head to the ground wondering why she never saw the signs.

"Now you are finally putting that smart brain of yours to work. Maya darling, I would love to stay around to chat with you but I'm too pregnant for this." Georgia replied rubbing her tummy.

"Please you have to leave Maya, Georgia needs to rest, we had a busy day" Ryan said to her signaling the security guard.

"I promise you both, that you will pay for every pain you made me suffer. I will ruin everything you both have worked for just the same way you ruined mine, enjoy all you have while you can because I will make sure your pain and suffering would be unbearable" Maya assured them both.

Ryan got scared because he had never seen Maya this way before but Georgia was unperturbed and thought Maya was just bluffing. She knew Maya was too soft and couldn't hurt anyone.

Maya was escorted out by the security guard and swore to make sure she gets her revenge on them but Georgia had other plans for her. She would ruin Maya first and make sure Maya never bothers them again.
