Carter returns with the papers and drops them for Eva to sign. “There it is, sign it now ” as he drops the the pen for her to sign
“Carter, we’ve been married for 4 years, I left my work to dedicate my life to make this marriage work. I did everything you asked and satisfied you and you want me to throw me out like a dog?. ”
Carter was unbothered. He picked Eva up, he made her sit on the chair where he placed the divorce paper and made her hold the pen to sign the paper. “Sign it now or regret it, i will make your life a living hell”
“How can you make my life more miserable after everything you’ve done already? Answer me Carter” Eva faced had changed even in the pool of tears she wanted answers what more can he do to her?
“Eva, must i remind you that you have nobody on your side. I am very influential and you are nothing. I could have you thrown in jail for a simple misconduct, I can make you rot in jail for the rest of your miserable life. Daddy Gran is not here to save or fight for you anymore. You lack the influence, money power and everything to touch me not to even talk of hurting me. So be a good girl and sign the papers”
Eva couldn't control her tears anymore, she could drown in them at this point, she was feeling miserable. She didn't know what to do. Carter was determined to make her sign.
The divorce will happen according to his wish. There is nothing she could do.
Heartbroken Eva signed the divorce paper. Eva knew she lost Carter already she knew the relationship they have is gone and she was done fighting. The man she loved is gone. Carter belongs to someone else now.
Eva's mind drew back to the days where Daddy Gran took care of her and made sure she packed nothing
He was the only person who she could rely upon was Daddy Gran. Carter's grandfather, he would not let this divorce happen as he considered Eva to be his long lost granddaughter.
He had always taken good care of her and never let Carter maltreat her in his presence, Daddy Gran died last year due to his long health issues which deteriorated.

Carter walked away from her picking the divorce paper.
Carter will make sure to process the divorce in less than a month according to what she heard Carter say to Victoria.
The marriage is over, 4 years of her life revolving around Carter is over, she has her life to live, decisions to make, what would she do now?
Everything she wanted is shattered into pieces. Where would she start from?
