Chapter Eleven: The Rift Grows

359 Words
Benita felt a deep sadness as she walked away from Tave's apartment. She couldn't believe he had chosen to believe Rachel's lies over her truth. The rift between them grew wider, and Benita didn't know how to bridge it. Tave, meanwhile, was consumed by his sympathy for Rachel. He spent all his time with her, listening to her stories and comforting her. Rachel's fragile nature and weak demeanor made Tave believe she was genuinely hurting, and he didn't realize she was manipulating him. One day, at a party, Rachel staged a dramatic scene. She "accidentally" fell into the pool, and as she emerged, dripping wet and shivering, she looked up at Benita with tears in her eyes. "Oh, Benita, I'm so sorry...I don't know what came over me. I promise to leave Tave alone, I don't want to cause any more pain." Tave rushed to Rachel's side, believing her tears. "Benita, please forgive Rachel. She's been through enough, and she's promising to move on." Benita was shocked. "Tave, don't be fooled! She's lying, as always! She's just trying to play you like a fool." But Tave wasn't listening. He scolded Benita, his voice harsh. "You're so unforgiving, Benita. Rachel's trying to make amends, and you're still tormenting her." The partygoers gasped, and Benita felt humiliated. The rift between her and Tave grew deeper, and she realized she was losing him forever. As the days went by, Tave and Rachel's relationship grew stronger. They were inseparable, and Tave didn't even notice Benita's absence. Benita, on the other hand, was struggling to move on. She loved Tave deeply, and she couldn't bear the thought of losing him to Rachel's manipulation. Rachel's tone was always apologetic, her voice trembling with fake vulnerability. "Tave, I promise to leave you alone...I don't want to cause any more pain. I'm so sorry." But her actions spoke otherwise, as she continued to cling to Tave, using her tears and weakness to control him. Benita knew she had to do something, but she didn't know what. She felt like she was losing Tave forever, and it was tearing her apart. Did Rachel Succeed in getting back Tave?
