Chapter Eighteen
“THAT HURTS,” JOSH yelled, and Ezra could see his friend’s body tighten as the pain shot through him. While the healing of shifters was quick, it still took some time to be complete. The pain would linger for a while.
Once they reached Doc Henderson’s place, Josh had shifted back to his human form, having remained as his panther to make it easier for Ezra to carry him. Alanna shifted back, slipped into her clothes which she had stored nearby in the woods, and called Dimitri to tell him what happened. The alpha of Bull Creek told her he’d meet them at Doc’s and then she raced to catch up to Ezra, Josh whining about how he was being manhandled by the larger man.
