Chapter Sixteen
“ANY LUCK?” EZRA asked as he stared out at the warehouses surrounding the abandoned airport. They discovered the area a few months ago when Dimitri’s father tried to sell off Fitz’s ex-girlfriend to some undesirables. Luckily, they were able to stop him in time, but sadly, it ended in Fitz killing his father.
Josh shook his head. “Nothing so far. Alanna will be here in a moment, and we can get a closer look. She took time off work to help us get this settled.” He glanced over at the bigger man. “I’m surprised you left Winnie alone, to be honest. Where did you stow her?”
Ezra chuckled. “She’s with Adira working on those wards. Once they get them finished, they’ll spread them around the edges of Bull Creek..”
