Caspian helped me stand. I felt my legs wobble and then give. Caspian caught me, swinging me into his arms with little effort. I fought his grip, but he held firm and nuzzled his face into my neck, taking a deep breath. “Please, Love. Let me help you.” The rumble of his voice against my skin took my breath away and I stopped fighting. I leaned my head against his chest, allowing his fresh rain sent to wrap around me. Ash purred inside my head, enjoying our mate’s closeness as much as I did. Caspian carried me out of the hospital and into the hall. Three flights of stairs later, he sat me on my feet, opening the door to a bedroom, before hoisting me back up. He carried me through the door and sat me on the bed. I looked around the room. The furnishings were dark oak. A fireplace lined one wall, supporting a hugh, flat-screen television, surrounded by a large, over-stuffed sofa and chairs that matched the deep red bed-spread. I took a deep breath. The room smelled like Caspian, making me groan. Caspian growled, climbing on top of me. I could feel the wetness between my legs dripping onto the bathroom, as Caspian shifted his weight. He pressed his face into my neck, “I can smell you, Love.” A soft moan escaped my lips before I could stop it. Caspian growled again, putting an arm underneath me and pulling me closer. I was lost in his sent, the lust in his eyes, and his weight on me.
His lips met mine. The kiss was soft and gentle, but soon picked up. Using his tongue, he parted my lips, teasing my tongue with his own. I groaned again, enjoying the wave of desire and the sparks that rolled over my body. I had never felt anything like this. I trailed my fingers through his hair. It was just as soft as I thought it would be. I grabbed a handful, giving it a small tug, causing another growl to rumble through Caspian. I closed my eyes as his mouth moved from my mouth, down my neck, to my marking spot. I let out a growl of my own, as his tongue flicked the spot. Using one hand, he opened the robe, exposing my already naked body. He moved his gaze to my breast. My n*****s were already hard and begging for his attention. He took one in his mouth, teasing and nipping with his teeth and tongue. I took in a sharp breath, giving his hair another tug. He stopped teasing my n****e, moving his attention to the other. He shifted his waist against mine and I could feel his bulge against me. He continued down my body, tasting and nipping as he went. I shivered, groaning, egging him on. His exploration led him to my delicate parts, and I shivered again in anticipation. His tongue flicked against my c**t, sending a moan from my lips. He continued his assault on my c**t and then I felt his finger enter me.
My eyes flashed open and suddenly, Evan was standing over me. His eyes were alight with anger, an evil grin on his face. Fear took hold of my body. Panicking, I tried to back away from him, managing to kick him across the head.
*Caspian*
I felt her body language change, before she kicked me. The blow connected on the side of my head, making me see stars. I looked up at her, ready to ask, “What the hell”, but then I saw the fear on her face. She’d pulled her legs up to her chest, her back against the headboard. The anger melting into concern. “Love?” I asked, moving closer to her, but she wasn’t hearing me. She buried her face into her knees, her body shaking. I went to put my arm around her. She screamed, “Please, Evan! Don’t hurt me!” Evan? Was this the person that had caused those scars? Anger filled me and Bay growled, sharing my anger. I couldn’t give into my anger though, my mate needed me. Ignoring her fighting, I put my arms around her, pulling her onto my lap. “Kalama, my Love. It’s me, Caspian.” I whispered. “It’s okay. Evan’s not here, You’re safe.” She looked up at me, her flaming eyes wet with tears.
“Caspian, I’m so sorry. I…” I placed a fingered on her prefect lips.
“It’s okay, Love.”
“But, I ruined it. I want to. I do..” I hushed her, giving her a soft peck on the lips.
“You did nothing wrong, Love. I understand, we’re not going to do anything you don’t want to.” She sniffled and tried a small smile. Holding her close, I set her beside me, scooting us deeper into the bed and pulling the covers over us. We laid in silence for a while, my fingers trailing up and down her neck. Finally, I could no longer stop myself, I had ask, “Love, I know those scars didn’t come from you falling.” She tensed at my words. “Was it Evan?” She didn’t say anything for a while and wasn’t sure if she would answer, but she did. Her voice held back tears,
“Yes.” I could feel tears wet my shirt. I rolled over, support myself on my elbow. Even in the darkened room I could see the sadness in her eyes and tears that rolled down her cheeks. I kissed the tears away.
“It’s okay, Love. You don’t have to tell me right now.” She nodded, pulling me close. I kissed her forehead, wrapping my arms around her. Before long, her body relaxed, her breathing slowed, and I knew she had gone to sleep. Anger was still bubbling at the surface, I would find this Evan and make him pay. I pulled Kalama closer, hearing her sigh. For now, however I would stay with my mate. I kissed her head and closed my eyes, slowly drifting to sleep.

When I woke, the sun was shining in through the windows. I moaned, rolling over, finding that I was alone. I looked around, but Caspian wasn’t there. Some clothes were folded on the table next to the window, a note with it. I got up, my legs were like jelly, put were still able to support me. I went over to the table, picking up the note.
My Love,
I had some business to take care of. I had an omega bring some clothes that I thought would fit. Feel free to shower and change. I should be back by the time breakfast comes up.
Caspian
I smiled at the note, before placing it back on the table and picking up the clothes. A door was to my right, I guessed it to be the bathroom. I went over to the door, opening it, relieved that I was right. The room was hugh. His and her sinks accompanied the dark marbling of the countertop. A large mirror hung behind the sinks. I laid my clothes next to the sink, looking at the mirror. I ignored my dirty reflection. Like the living area, the mirror was made of dark oak. Little wolves were engraved into the wood. I placed a hand one of the engravings, admiring the work the crafter no doubt, put a lot into. “It was my grandfather’s.” I jumped at the voice, spinning around. Caspian stood at the door, a smile on his handsome face. “Caspian? You scared me.” He chuckled, walking over to me and wrapped his arms around me. Sparks ignited between us and my body shivered with longing.
“I’m sorry, Love.” He dropped a kiss on my lips. “Did you sleep well?”
“Okay. You?” He smiled.
“Always, with you by my side.” I smiled, burying my face into his chest, inhaling his fresh rain fall sent. I couldn’t help the growl that escaped my lips. Caspian laugh was a rumble in my ears. He pulled away from me. “As much as I would love to take you right here. I’m not sure it would do you any good.” I let out a frustrated breath, knowing he was right. After what happened last night, I didn’t want to disappoint him again. As though reading my mind, Caspian lifted my head with his hand. “Don’t do that to yourself. It’ll happen.” I nodded. “Now, get your little, round ass, in the shower. I’m going down to see if your breakfast is ready. I’m sure your starving.” Just then, my stomach growled in reply. He laughed, gave me a kiss on the forehead, and left, closing the door behind him. I let out another breath and walked over to the shower. It was big enough for ten people. I turned the water on, letting it run as I let the robe fall from my shoulders and onto the floor, and stepped under the spray. I relaxed under the hot water, letting it work out the tightness in my sore muscles.
After a few minutes I grabbed the bottle of shampoo and began to lather my hair. I couldn’t remember the last time I’d had a real shower, so there was no way I was going to waste it. I rinsed the shampoo, starting again with conditioner. Rinsing that out, I grabbed the bar of soap and started cleaning the dirt and grim from my body. Finally clean, I turned the water off and stepped out, wrapping a towel around me. I walked back to the sink, drying off and looked at the clothes that had been laid out for me. I pulled on the black, lacey panties and matching black bra. I slipped into the dark blue jeans, they fit well, hugging my curves. The black shirt also hugged my curves nicely. A knock sounded at the door, it was Caspian. “You almost done, Love?”
“Be right out.” I answered. I looked through the drawers, looking for a hairbrush and toothbrush. I sighed, finding none, I grabbed the towel, drying my hair as much as possible, before throwing it in the hamper and heading back into the main room. Caspian sat on the large, overstuffed couch. The smell of chocolate chip waffles filled my senses, making my mouth water. I walked over to him, my eyes falling on the mini buffet that lay on the coffee table. Chocolate chip waffles were piled on a plate. Next to it, was a stack of bacon and sausages. Plates of ham and eggs, toast with grape jam, along with a pitcher of orange juice. My mouth began to water, my stomach growling. “Why so much?” Caspian smiled.
“I wasn’t sure what you would like, so I Nani make a variety.” I sat down next to him, my stomach growled again. Caspian smiled, grabbing a plate and started loading food onto it, two waffles, bacon, a couple sausages, toast with jam, and a scoop of eggs. After lathering the waffles with syrup, he handed the plate and a fork to me. With my mouth watering, I began to shovel food into my mouth. The waffles were light, almost melting on my tongue and the bacon was crisp to perfection, I would have to give my thanks to Nani. Caspian sat a glass of orange juice in front of me. I sat the plate down, taking the glass and drinking almost half of the juice in one gulp. Caspian chuckled, “I’ve never seen a woman eat like that.” I sat the glass down, embarrassment making my cheeks go read. He chuckled again, putting a hand on my knee. “I like a woman with a good appetite. You eat as much as you want.” He stood.
“You’re not staying?”
“Unfortunately, I have some other business to attend to. I was thinking, if you’re up to it, if you’d like to have lunch with the others?” I grimaced. “It won’t be too many, just those that live here in the main house.” I thought about it for a second.
“Okay. Sure.” Caspian smiled, kissing me on the forehead.
“Good. My office is on the first floor, just down the hall if you need anything.” I nodded. He kissed my forehead again and left. Once he was gone, I picked up the remote, flipping through the channels until finally settling on a show, before picking my plate back up and continued to eat.
