A missing Luna

Fresh blood dripped onto the ground, coloring the sand dark red as a wolf with thick gray hair and blue eyes dragged a half-dead deer by its esophagus. Following behind him was a pack of wolves with bloodstained furs and bloody mouths. Once they crossed the road and entered into the fence, the deer slammed to the ground as the gray wolf gazed around. Then he sniffed the air before running out of the fence with his pack racing behind him. However, within less than a minute there was a loud howl followed by multiple doleful cries that disturbed the quietness of the night. As the clouds shadowed the moon, darkening the sky, the mansion was silent except for the West chamber. “Where the hell is she! Her scent can't just vanish without a trace!” Damon roared. His voice was so thunderous, that Hunter didn't dare look him directly in his eyes. Instead, he bent his head with his hands clapped to his side as he humbly stood by the door. “Celia is leading a search party for Bella. She couldn't have gotten far considering the state she's in.” Hunter said. “That's what I thought when I left for the hunter. But look at where we are now!” Damon shouted. “Master, Celia is the best sniffer and tracker among the Gammas. Let's have faith in her.” At that moment, the chamber's door opened and Celia walked inside with a disappointing expression on her face. She then immediately dropped to her knees when she noticed that Damon's blue eyes had turned yellow again. “Your subject has failed you, master,” Celia mumbled with her head bow. A look of great bitterness swept across Damon’s face, and with a murderous gaze, he balled his fingers to a fist and slammed them against the dresser's flat surface. “Get out now!” Damon roared with the force of a deadly storm. Celia jumped to her feet and ran out of the room with Hunter a few steps behind her. He then shut the door before catching his breath. “Master had never lost himself like he is tonight,” Hunter mumbled. “Shh! He might hear you. If you don't want to lose your head, seal your lips.” Celia boldly said before walking past him. “Wait up!” “You are supposed to be one of the fastest in the pack, so catch me if you can.” Hunter chuckled before chasing after Celia who was already a mile away from him. “Boss, we are here?” The driver said as the vehicle came to a stop. Then he gazed behind when he got no response from his boss. However, when those red eyes gazed back at him, the driver quickly faced the front. “Carry her into the house?” His boss muttered. “Me?” The driver asked. However, the silence he got was all the reply he needed. So he hastily got out of the car, headed over to the other door, and opened it. But when his hand touched Bella’s skin, his eyes widened with fear in them. “Boss, she's burning up pretty bad. Should we take her to the hospital?” The driver cried. “My first order stands.” His boss muttered with a frown. Then he opened the car door, got down, and started walking ahead. “What should we do? She is pretty feverish. Is he planning to leave her medically unattended in such a condition?” The driver whispered as he lifted Bella from the car seat. “William!” His boss shouted. “Yes! Yes, sir!” “What's the hold-up?” “I am coming, sir.” William tightened his grip on Bella's arms and legs before racing with her into the enormous and luxurious villa in front of him. “What now, sir?” He breathlessly cried when William caught up with his boss on the fifth floor. “Take her in there.” His boss said as he pointed to the door on the right. William took a second to calm his rapid heartbeat. Then he carried Belle into the room, rested her on the bed, and covered her with a comforter. “You can leave.” As his boss's words echoed into his ears, William couldn't help hesitating for a moment before walking to the opening door. He then stared at Bella for a brief while before quietly closing it. “I am getting too old for this,” William mumbled. In that instant, his sight then rested on the portrayal of a frightened red dragon hanging on the wall and it almost gave him a heart attack. “Gosh, this drawing always sent a shock to my poor heart. Neron Flame is truly a weird man keeping multiple portraits of the same dragon everywhere in his home. I understand that he likes mythical creatures, but this is insane.” William mumbled. He then took a second to get over his fright before continuing his walk down the hallway. Neron paced back and front as he carefully stared at Bella while maintaining a safe distance away from her. As the distress in Bella’s face got intense, Neron knew he had to do something. But he also understood that he couldn't carry her to the hospital because he wasn't sure what was happening to her, so he didn't want to risk human handling her. Finally, after careful consideration, Neron pulled out his phone and made a call. “Isuzu, I need you to come to my house in less than an hour.” Neron anxiously said without taking his eyes off Bella. “What's the matter?” Isuzu’s worried voice echoed from the phone speakers. Neron ended the call without answering the question. Then he stared down at his watch without blinking his lashes. Not less than five minutes had passed when he heard an intense wind outside the room window. So Neron headed out to it, opened both sides, and walked onto the balcony. “You shifted?” He asked while questionably staring at a handsome young fellow. “Yes. You sounded worried on the phone. I thought you were in trouble.” Isuzu replied, sounding a bit angry after noticing that Neron looked fine. “Why would you think that?” “Because you hired people to burned down Damen twenty-five warehouses. I thought he was taking revenge on you. Why would you even do something like that?” “Because I am a businessman. What I did has nothing to do with past grudges. Instead, I saw a hindrance to my business, so I burned it down.” “You are so unbelievable.” Ignoring Isuzu’s remark, Neron placed his hands into his trouser pocket and walked back into his room. “Why does your room smell like Damon?” Isuzu absentmindedly asked as he walked into the bedroom. “Because of her?” Neron replied, staring at the sweat dripping down Bella's face and how tightly her tender fingers had grabbed onto his sheets.
