HER - Chapter 13: Keep Dodging Bullets in The Bedroom (1of2)

I woke up in the morning completely naked on top of him and his thing still inside of me as if I passed out while making love.

“This is the best morning we’ve got so far.” Jun staring at me with a sweet smile on his face. “You’re so wild earlier, you’ve been mostly on top of me until now, will you let me do the work this morning?”

“I passed out while doing you, am I?” getting off from him and lying my back on the bed instead.

“Yes.” getting on top of me. “I don’t know what’s gotten into you, but you dominated me until sunrise and probably you passed because of exhaustion, now just stay still and let me return the favor.” kissing my lips down to my neck until he got me under control.

“Hey … aaah … it’s Monday today, right?” feeling pleasure with his tongue between my legs. “Shouldn’t you be preparing for school?”

“Do you think I care about going to class, right now?” stopped for a minute before he continued licking me inside.

“But Jun … oooh … aaah … I also.” pulling his hair to stop him. “I also need to go to work today, it’s the 1st day of November and I’m on a day shift this month. I need to be at the hospital by 11am.”

“I’ll call the HR for you, just let me continue, please?” acting like a dog with his tongue sticking out from his mouth.

“No, we really need to stop right now.” trying not to be persuaded with his seductive eyes. “You’re going to attend your remaining class in the afternoon and I’m reporting for duty, please listen to me.”

“Then just give me a minute, please baby?” he continued right away after I loosened my grip on his hair.

He asked for a minute but my mind was all blank because of too much pleasure, so it lasted for almost 20 minutes before he stopped.

We had our brunch then by quarter to 10 before I drove off to my place and prepared for work.

My new shift started at 11am until 11pm and my day off changed from Sundays to Tuesdays, so I worked 8 days straight before taking a break for once a week.

Jun told me to meet him at the restaurant by 6pm, so I did the laundry and bought some groceries in the afternoon after 12 hours sleep.

Wearing a blue lacy dress, which is his favorite color, I arrived to our rendezvous 10 minutes before 6pm.

“I’m here under Monsieur Jun Oh’s reservation.” telling to the staff as I stepped inside the restaurant.

“This way, please follow me, Madame.” staff leading the way on the reserved table at the center of the restaurant.

The French restaurant must be popular as there’s a lot of customers dining in at the moment and there’s a long line waiting outside.

I don’t know if Jun’s running late because of his class but I’ve been waiting for him to show up on time.

He’s almost 10 minutes late for our date when I finally came earlier to meet him, and I’m starting to get bored when suddenly a band play.

I wasn’t paying attention at first but I recognized the one playing the bass and his angelic voice while singing along with the other members.

After the 1st song with bass, he switched to playing the guitar on the next song when the people cheered for them.

I don’t know if he invited me to watch his concert but I really enjoyed his performance like everyone else in the crowd.

“As for the final song, I’m dedicating this to the most beautiful girl, who’s wearing my favorite color tonight. Hera Nevaeh this one’s for you.” Jun playing the piano while singing a love song that he wrote.

I accidentally saw his notebook and read the lyrics that he wrote, which he was preparing for our 100th day.

Although it’ll be next Tuesday, I wonder why he’s giving me the song tonight instead on our anniversary.

After the song, he walked up to me straight from the stage with the spotlight following him.

“I should be doing this next week on our 100th day but I can’t wait for a few more days.” getting down on his one knee on the floor. “Hera Nevaeh, you asked me before if I’m ready to be the father of your child, and I answered you that I was born ready, but I have to admit that I’m really sweet talking to you that time.” taking out the ring box from his pocket. “Now, I mean it this time, I was born for you, Hera, and I hope you let me do my mission in life.” showing me the diamond ring. “I know that I’m still a college student but I’m asking you this, Hera Nevaeh, will you marry me?”

I couldn’t say a word to him but I nodded to answer his question, and he put the ring on my finger immediately.

We were both crying as we hugged each other as if we’re both filming a drama scene in front of everyone applauding to us.

We’ve been setting aside marriage until his graduation so I never expect him to propose this early.

Maybe because he was pressured by my family comments about us when I brought him to Lolo’s party or because I already gave myself to him, I really don’t know what pushed him to make our relationship from nice and slow to fast forward in marriage.

After having a melodramatic dinner in the French restaurant, we went to a hotel and spent our first night together as newly engaged couple.

“Who you talking to?” I woke up in the morning facing down on the bed.

“Professor Macklemore, I called him and said I’ll be running late to the airport.” getting back into bed after hanging up the telephone.

“Airport?? Where you going to?” flipping up as I cover myself with the blanket. “You’re leaving me after you put thing ring on my finger?”

“Vermont, I’m going to represent KU in a competition along with 9 med students.” taking off my cover as he looks at my body. “We’ll be back by Sunday evening, you’re so beautiful, Hera.” running his fingers over my skin. “I still can’t believe that you said yes to me last night.”

“This ring is a proof.” showing him my left hand where the engagement ring on. “Why are you taking your clothes off again?”

“I already notified that I’ll be late, so I’m getting the most out of the time I can spend with you in bed.” getting on top of me.

We both left the hotel at 10am, he going straight to the airport while me to the hospital for work.

Almost everyone noticed my diamond ring as I walked in from the entrance to the lockers room and even though I don’t owe anyone an explanation, I still announced that Jun and I are engaged.

It only took a day to let everyone get the news so the very next day an article about me and him is on the papers.

I was summoned the same day to go to the Nevaeh residences to confirm the article, they’re my family so they have the right to know.

“I don’t know what being engaged feels like since I got married the very next day after I met Z.C. for the second time.” Demeter having a chat with me before I leave for work. “Him and I are doing it backwards, so good for you that you’re at the right track.”

“Jun and I are going to get married anyway so I doesn’t matter when we get engaged. But I promised you, you’ll have your church wedding first before me, I won’t steal the spotlight from you.” chuckles.

“Well we can have a double wedding if you two like.” smiling at me. “You only need to say the word to our parents and they’ll arrange it for us.”

“Nah, you’re going to get married this January and it’s still early for me. I’m fine being engaged with him until his graduation, that’s our plan.” opens the car door. “I think that’s enough of chat, I should be hitting by the road at this moment going to work.” getting in.

“You’ll never know, Hera.” closing the car door for me. “If you get pregnant too before his graduation, you’re going to marry him in no time. I actually barely made it in time before I gave birth to my baby.”

“Let’s talk about it when it actually happens.” stepping on the gas with my hands on the steering wheel. “Until next time, sister.”

“Have a safe drive, sister!” waving her hands on me.

Whether I get pregnant before our wedding day, it doesn’t matter to me, because this time I can be together with the father of my child.

I no longer need to hide my pregnancy and giving birth to anyone like I did before when I had my first born.

Few days later, when I arrived to my space on Monday night, Jun surprised me with what he did to the room.

“You do realize that you made a mess in here, right?” making fun of him. “I think you want to make a flower path for me but you bought too much rose petals so you just spread it all over the place and that bouquet of red roses over there takes all the space on my vanity table.”

“Yeah, I want to turn this place romantic for us but it turned out like this because of the space you got here. You should move to a bigger place; I think that’s the solution to this problem.” Jun said.

“I bought a cake for our midnight snack.” pointing at the cake on the dining table. “Also red wine as our beverage.”

Staring at him. “Do you know what happened this past few days??”

“I already read the article, this morning.” holding my hands. “Sorry, I’m not by your side again when you were bothered by the reporters.”

“This is the second time, you did this to me, Oh Jun-ssi.” pretending to be mad at him. “You’re always in America after making a scandal.”

“I’m really sorry.” putting my hands on his face. “Hit me if you want.”

“You’re making me a thug.” chuckles as I pat his face. “How did the competition go?” sitting on the chair.

“It went well. We brought home the trophy and I got a gold medal.” sitting across me as he looks at his wrist watch. “It’s only a minute left before midnight.” lighting up the candle on the cake.

“Happy anniversary.” leaning over the table to give him a kiss after we blew the candle. “I have a gift for you.” stand up and walk over to the closet to get the present inside. “You haven’t open this yet, right?”

“I was busy decorating the place and I didn’t open your closet.” receiving his gift. “May I open it now??”

“Sure.” watching his reaction as he unwrapped the box. “Do you like it? When I saw that white turtle neck long sleeves in the store, I thought that it looks good on you along with that black turtle neck sleeveless on top of it.” going back to my seat.

“Thank you, I’ll wear this next week.” eyes wavering. “Sorry, I don’t have a gift for you. Can I just give myself in exchange??”

“What are you saying?” laughed at him. “You’ve given me a lot of things before so it’s my turn to give back. Also, you bought that bouquet, this cake and wine, and you made that bed of roses, as well as the floor. I don’t need anything in exchange for my present.”

“Still I should’ve given you a present too since it’s our first anniversary. It’s embarrassing to say this but I already used up my allowance for this month and I’m broke for 2 weeks.” rubbing his nape.

“Ahaha, sorry, I’m not laughing because you’re broke but because of the expression you have on your face right now.” showing him my left hand. “It’s because of this engagement ring, right?”

“I want to give the best to you so it didn’t matter how much it costed me.” looking at my left ring finger. “Do you want to eat the cake, now?”

“Mmm.” nodding at him. “How much do you need?” taking out my wallet.

“No.” shaking his head. “I’m not asking you for money and I won’t spend it even if you give it to me. You’ve earned that money on your own while my allowance comes from my parents, shame on me if I accept it.”

“But I’m your fiancée now, I can share to you what’s mine. Besides you spent a lot for me until now, so it’s fine if I spend for you too.”

“No means no. I only tell you my situation because I want to tell you everything about me not to ask you for anything. So, keep it and let’s just eat our cake and drink the wine.” putting a slice of cake on our plates before pouring wine on our glasses.

“Fine, it’s just 2 weeks anyway.” giving up after thinking for a while. “But you can’t say no to me when I become your wife.”

“Mmm.” nodding at me. “By the way, your parents told my parents to have the engagement party later, so we can’t have any plans for today.”

“Ah, right. I almost forgot to tell you about it. There will be reporters at the event later, you can’t escape the media attention now.”

“I’m not scared of the camera at all. I can handle it.” he said confidently. “Do you like the bouquet? You haven’t touch it yet. I literally hugged it when I carried it here. There’s a hundred of roses in there and they’re all full bloom.” pointing at the bouquet.

“Since you told me honestly that you’re broke right now.” hesitating. “I like purple flowers. But I really appreciate the thought, most of men thinks that roses are what every lady wants, so it’s normal.”

“Noted. I should’ve asked Ryan what flowers you prefer before I went to the flower shop.” staring at me. “I’ve got a lot of things I need to learn about you, I don’t even know what your favorite color is.”

“I used to like black and pink before but when I turned to college, I started to like the color purple.” eating the cake while chatting.

“Will you tell me more about yourself, while we finish the whole cake and this bottle of wine?” smiling at me.

“Aside from purple flowers, I like cactus. My favorite season is winter, and 9 for the number, because it’s lucky. I love to eat gummy bears.” thinking what else should I tell him. “I used to play the violin.”

“I also like the coldness of winter than the heat of summer.” responding to everything I share to him.

An hour later, we finished up the cake and emptied the bottle of wine while chatting about little things we didn’t know to each other.

We brushed our teeth together, after he let me took a half bath while he’s washing the dishes, before we went to bed not to sleep but to stay up all night like it’s a normal thing for us to do since we started doing it on his birthday.

I woke up almost lunch and he already cooked our meal before I got up from bed and put my clothes on.

“So, who’s going to take a bath first.” he asked while wiping the dishes that I washed. “I told you to leave it to me so you could go first.”

“Well we’re done already so there’s no use talking about it now.” glancing at him. “Do you want to take a shower together?”

Staring at me for a while before he let out a big smile on his face. “You can’t take it back.” pointing at me. “I wish there’s a tub in your bathroom right now so we can soak together, but shower is fine.”

“Have you always wanted to soak in a tub with me??” laughing at him.

“It’s one of my fantasy.” smirking. “I’m done, let’s go to the bathroom now.” grabbing my hand as he excitedly walks towards the bathroom.

He took his clothes off first and showered immediately as he waited for me to join him, my half hour bath time turned to an hour.

We left at my place by 3pm and arrived at the South Mansion before 4pm where we waited for his parents before we go to the North.

The engagement party started at 6pm, aside from my whole clan, his family, and our close friends, there’s a table for the reporters.

Since every event in our clan gets media attention, might as well make it a formal announcement to the public rather than just let them write articles about us without our permission.

“Mom told me to come home tonight, so I can’t stay here with you.” Jun scratching his head. “I guess she got a lot to say on what happened tonight and I can’t say no to her.”

“I understand.” nodding at him. “His baby boy is about to get married in a few years so she wants to spend more time with her son. I totally get how a mother feels.” tapping his shoulder. “You should go now.”
