HER - Chapter 9: Ooh, It's Too Real (2 of 2)

“Ahhwww, Hera.” taking my hand away from his thigh and hold it instead. “I should read that newspaper.”

“Everyone thinks that I’m going to marry first before my older sister, we’re not even lovers that time.” letting out my sentiments to him.

“But we are now, the news predicted our future very well.” nodding his head. “When do you want us to marry?”

“Ugh Jun, you’re not taking me seriously!” yapping at him.

“I always take you seriously.” grabbing my chin. “I want to marry you.”

He’s about to kiss my lips when Hebe suddenly appeared and interrupted our romantic moment.

“Nurse Hera said she’s not your bride, why are you going to kiss her?” Hebe reprimanding Jun with her hands on her waists.

“Well she will be my bride soon and we’re just practicing how to kiss so it’ll be perfect on our wedding day.” Jun replied to her.

“But I’m going to marry you!” Hebe exclaimed. “You saved my life so I should marry you. You’re my hero, I should be your wife.”

“What??” Jun glancing at me. “What’s happening right now? What is she talking about??”

“Can you just play along with her?” whispering to him. “She’s just a child, she probably watched it from TV or heard from others.”

“I rather play the role of her father if you’re her mother, by then we can be a family.” he said jokingly before he turns to Hebe. “Very well then, you want to marry me?” carrying Hebe in his arms.

“If I tell you I’m her real mother will you really play the role of her father?” watching the two walks away.

Later evening, Father Erik came back with the good news that he found an orphanage in Jeonju that can accommodate everyone.

Goyang is only half an hour away from the capital, going to Jeonju will take 2 hours and a quarter at the very least.

The next morning, Jun rented a bus for everyone to take them to Jeonju like he sponsored a tour because of the accommodation and the transportation he funded.

After we settled the children in their new home, we headed back to Goyang to get Ryan and Joanna from the hospital.

Jun drove Ryan’s car as we headed back to Seoul and sent them home first before we took a cab to my place.

Nobody knows that I’m only half an hour away from Seoul as everyone thinks that I followed Jun to Washington.

“We’re already here.” standing in front of my door. “You should go home now and take a rest.” letting go of his hand first.

“Don’t wanna, I want to stay here with you.” embracing me tight.

“Be a good boy alright.” tapping his back. “Go home now. I also need to rest; I’m going to work tomorrow.”

“Let’s just sleep together, it’s not like we haven’t sleep right next to each other before.” doing puppy eyes as he pleads. “Please, let me stay here for the night and the next night and the next, next night.”

“You’ll end up living here with me if I let you do what you want.” taking his hands off from my waists. “Please let me go, I’m on a straight duty tomorrow, so I need a lot of strength tonight.”

“The more you need me by your side. You can only have a deep sleep when you’re touching me while you’re sleeping, right?” holding my hands and putting them on his nape.

“I think I’m good now. I’ve been sleeping well since the night we started dating. I can have a good sleep on my own now.” touching his face. “So, you should go now.” pinching his cheeks.

“Fine, let’s kiss first.” he holds my hands and put them down as he leans over to kiss me which lasted for a little while.

The next morning, though I’m on a night shift this month, because I was absent last Monday when I’m supposed to be back for my duty, I have to work straight from 8am to 8am.

“Coffee?” Jun giving me a cup of coffee. “You still have 3 hours to go before your shift ends.”

“What are you doing here at 5 o’clock in the morning?” taking the cup of coffee from his hand. “Thanks.”

“You forbid me to see you yesterday so I came here first thing in the morning to see your beautiful face. Don’t worry I won’t stay here to watch you even if I wanted to, I’m going for a run.” staring at me.

“Alright, go ahead.” telling him to go but he’s just standing in front of the counter ogling at me. “How long will you stare at me??”

Looking around. “I have something to tell you, come over here.” asking me to lean on the counter to hear him clearly.

“What is it?” leaning forward. “What do you want to say?” looked at the same direction where he’s looking at when he suddenly kisses my cheek before he runaway like a kid.

“And you told me that you two are just friends.” Nurse Ji teasing me. “You’re blushing face tells it otherwise, Nurse Nevaeh.”

“It’s because I’ve been working for more than 20 hours now.” avoiding her gaze. “I’m going for a coffee break for a moment.” taking the coffee that Jun gave me.

“Are you going to follow Young Master Oh?” Nurse Ji continue making fun of me. “Are you two meeting secretly somewhere around??”

I just walked away without looking back as I ignore her yapping and went to the balcony to get some fresh air while sipping a coffee.

Since Jun and I broke our friendship and become lovers, I don’t feel lonely anymore and I can laugh happily without faking it.

He didn’t just save Hebe’s life that day, he also saved me and gave me a second chance in life.

A month later, I’m back on my morning shift and my day off changed from Tuesdays to Thursdays.

Jun is on his 2nd semester of his 3rd year in college and still a long way to go before he graduated, so I’m basically dating a med student.

Because of that I have to set some dating rules for us and make him focus more on his studies, by spending time together only from my shift ends until my next shift after my day off, 36 hours in a week.

“Rise and shine, handsome!” pulling up the curtains to let the sunlight in. “Your breakfast is ready, Young Master Oh.”

“10 more minutes.” turning his head on the other side of the bed while facing down. “I slept at 1am.”

“Who told you to sleep that late to finish that book just to be advanced from the rest of the class??” climbing up to bed. “Get up now, you’re going to be late in class.” pulling his hands as I sit on his butt.

“Ahhwww … Hera are you going to break my arms?!” screaming in pain.

“You always say 10 minutes but you’re getting up after 20.” releasing his hands. “Are you getting up or not??!”

“I am. I’m getting up now.” rolling over as I move at the other side to give him space. “Was that really necessary to wake me up??”

“That’s because you won’t wake up easily.” I’m looking at his face but I couldn’t help but to notice his erection. “Breakfast is ready.” looking away before he realized that I looked at his thing.

“Why are you blushing?” he suddenly grabbed my hand. “Look at me Hera, why does your face turn red? Are you ill?”

“No, I’m not.” about to get out from bed but he pulled me back to bed and touch my forehead.

“You don’t have a fever.” comparing our temperature.

“I told you, I’m fine.” pushing him back. “Get up now and eat your breakfast.” walking away from the bed.

“What are you going to do today while I’m at school?” going to the bathroom to wash his face.

“The usual laundry and doing some groceries since I got paid yesterday.” looking at the calendar. “Also, buying a gift for Lolo’s birthday this coming Tuesday. I already asked Nurse Ji to switch rest day with me so I’m at work next Thursday, which means …”

“I can sleep here Monday night and stay until Wednesday morning, got it!” stepped out from the bathroom and sit on the chair across mine.

“Yup, and you’re my date to the party.” feeding him the bacon.

“Of course, I am, I’m your man.” feeding me the egg. “I want to accompany you today for the groceries and buying a gift, will you do it after my class instead??” staring at me.

“But I can take a cab, and besides you’re staying here for the night anyway so we’re seeing each other later.” eating on my own.

“I want to come with you.” having a deep thought. “What about you come with me in school and let’s do the shopping after class??”

“Why would I come to KU??” chuckles. “I’m a YU graduate, why would I attend your class? Also, everyone knows that I’m not a student.”

“So what? It’s not like I’m studying a different field in science, we’re both dealing with healthcare.” he said. “You don’t take the rivalry between KU and YU personally, right?”

“It’s YU and KU. YU always comes first before you say KU.” I replied.

“No, I’m pretty sure KU comes first before YU.” looking at me. “But it’s not that important, what I’m telling you is to sit with me in class, please Hera.” pleading me with his puppy eyes.

“Fine, but only this once. I’m not going to do this for you again.” getting swayed of his cuteness.

“Love you, give me my morning kiss.” pouting his lips.

“Will you just eat?” smiling at him.

“Ahh, kiss me, please?” leaning forward to me.

“Mwuah.” kissed him quick. “Now eat. I don’t want you to be late for class because of me.”

“Well we can take a bath together to save time.” his eyes turn from puppy dog looks to seductive one.

“Never in your wildest dream.” sneers at him. “I’ll take the bath first since you only take half time of mine to finish.”

“I always wonder what’s taking you so long in the bathroom? We’re both shampooing our hair and cleaning our bodies with soap. What else are you doing in there?” continue eating his meal.

“It’s none of your business.” done eating my meal. “I’m done. You clean the dishes since I cooked our breakfast, I’m taking a bath now.”

“Can’t we really go at the same time?” smiling sexily at me.

“No means no.” patting his head. “Graduate first from college before you ask me again about that.”

“That will be the first thing we’ll do after my graduation.” smirks.

“Yeah, and you still have 4 years to go before that happen.” taking clothes from the closet. “Jeans and this black velvet top, I think it’s fine to wear in your class.”

“You’re going to put a jacket on that top, right?” pointing at my black velvet V neck sleeveless top.

“Of course.” taking my undies quickly and cover it with towel.

“Why do you have to hide it, I know that you’re wearing them anyway?”

“Can I have some privacy please?” frowning at him. “Do you really have to watch every move I make?”

“What can I do? Everything in here is in just one room except from the bathroom.” eating his meal while looking at me.

“Right.” closed and locked the bathroom door immediately after I got inside. “This is the disadvantage of living in a small space with a guy.”

After I took a bath and put on my change of clothes inside the bathroom, he already washed the dishes and also tidy up the bed.

He must be bored from waiting for me that he cleaned up my space even if he’s known to be lazy.

We left the house after an hour though he only needs half an hour but because of me it took a little longer to depart.

We arrived at KU, 20 minutes before his first class started because he hit the road as fast as his Harley can since I rushed him to do so.

I thought he’s going to be late but we’re too early when we came, though we had to walk for 10 minutes to his classroom from the parking lot where we left his Harley.

“I told you it’s not a good idea to bring me in your class.” feeling shy.

“They can look but they can’t touch.” putting his arm around my shoulders. “Yes, we’re dating and it’s not just a baseless rumor.” he announced to everyone as they keep chattering about us.

“Was that necessary??” gritting my teeth as I smile to him.

“I’m proud that you’re mine, why are you embarrass with me?”

“No.” turning to everyone. “That’s true, Jun and I are together.”

“Ayyiiieeee!” everyone cheering for us.

“Alright, settle down children!” Dr. Haggerty came inside the classroom. “Ooh, I see someone raising a blue flag here.”

“Blue flag??” one of the students. “What do you mean Professor Macklemore? Should it be a red flag because there’s a famous couple in this classroom, today.” making the others tease us again.

“It’s a blue flag. Ms. Hera Nevaeh is a graduate in College of Nursing from YU, right Nurse Nevaeh?” Dr. Haggerty asking me for support.

“Yes, Dr. Haggerty … and I’m in the enemy’s base right now.” getting along with his joke.

“Well us men here doesn’t mind if the enemy is such a goddess.” one from the class shouted. “No offense, Oh Jun, but you bring such beauty in our class, so it’s your fault if we get distracted.”

“You may look at my girl as much as you want but don’t ever forget that Hera Nevaeh is mine.” Jun holding my hand.

“Alright, that’s enough of flirting 101 in my class, let’s be focus on the lecture now.” Dr. Haggerty/Prof. Macklemore said. “Jun take your hands off from your girl, everybody knows you’re a couple now.”

“You heard your professor.” Taking his arm away from my shoulders and his hand off from mine. “Be a good boy, please.”

“Yes, ma’am!” saluting me as he tries to keep his eyes on the board even though he’s glancing at me from time to time.

I attended his classes like I’m one of his classmates, all the professors noticed my presence but none of them told me off from their class.

After being like a student for a day with him, we headed back to my place first to do the laundry and while waiting we went to the market to buy groceries and also the gift for my grandfather.

“What would your grandfather do with a demon hunter sword?” Jun looking at the birthday present I prepared.

“Adding to his collections, only us in the family knows that Lolo Uranus is a weapon collector master.” noticed his big smile. “What’s that big smile for and that look on your face, right now?”

Put down the sword and come to me closer as he wraps his arms around me. “You just told me something that only your family knows, which means you’re treating me as one of your family.”

“You think too much.” chuckles. “We’re not family, you’re just my lover.”

“Well if we become husband and wife, then we’re a family.” looking at me in the eyes. “Eventually, I’ll be the father and you the mother of our children. That’s what I want for our future.”

“We just started dating for over a month and you’re thinking of settling down with me now, aren’t you being too fast??” looking at him.
